A/N: folks, I got ya *winks with both eyes*
_Diana sat at Tim's kitchen table, nervously tapping her finger against the surface as she waited for him to finish brewing the coffee he had offered her.
Honestly, the woman couldn't care less about the drink, but she was grateful for the extra time she got while he was busy preparing it.
"I don't have to ask why you've turned up here, do I?"
Okay, time is over.
Her hands began fumbling with the cup he sat down in front of her and she didn't dare look up to meet his eyes.
Tim sighed. "If it's about that night-"
"What happened?"
A short, heavy silence followed her question, one that had her hesitating. She paused in her movements before slowly glancing up at him.
He stood frozen on the other side of the kitchen counter and just stared down at her with this incredulous expression. "You- You don't remember?"
"Uhm-" she tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear- "I was kinda- you know, I was drunk."
Tim chuckled. "Yeah, I noticed. A little too late I admit, but I still noticed when you started beatboxing in my car."
"Oh gods."
"Don't worry, it was really attractive," he told her with a small grin tugging on his lips.
"Oh gods," Diana repeated as she buried her face in her hands.
Tim watched her in amusement, a frown crossed his face when he remembered her words.
She had forgotten; she had completely forgotten what happened that night, and even still acted like everything was normal when she had woken up in his bed that morning.
"What do you remember about that night?"
For a few seconds, Diana didn't answer; she was busy choosing her next words while she anxiously chewed on her bottom lip.
"Buck... told me something. He said you came to our place and then- apparently I left with you. I- uhm, I didn't remember the conversation she had but then I got drunk again, you know-"
"Sporting your memory."
"That's right," she nodded, her eyes casted downwards. "And I remembered- I mean I didn't remember much but I remembered the conversation we had."
Tim gulped and shifted in his seat. There was some kind of uncertainty pooling in the pit of his stomach; he couldn't tell whether he should be looking forward to this revelation or if he had avoided it all this time for a reason.
"You do, I see."
He could have slapped himself across the face for those words, and truth be told, Diana looked like she wanted to slap him as well.
"Before I say anything about that, can you tell me what happened that night?"
"You want to know if we slept together, don't you?"
She only shrugged, but he understood; how could he not when he spends all his time thinking about her.
"Alright."
____
"Be careful!"
Diana stumbled into his house, giggling to herself as she walked into a shelf and fell to the ground.
A sigh escaped Tim's lips as he took in the sight of her, sprawled across his floor like a starfish.
This wasn't how he had imagined this evening would be going. He had paid her a visit just to get this off his chest, to confess his feelings and either walk out of there with a date or a crushed heart.
