(Ominis perspective)
I was in Gaunt Manor, reading a book about birds. Seated in the library on a large green lounge chair by the window, I occasionally glanced outside, listening to the soft calls of my nightingale, Nalu. Anne had gifted her to me for my birthday, and after bringing her home, I conjured a larger cage so she'd have more space to move, fly, and build a nest of her own. I often added nesting materials for her, encouraging that beautiful creation she so lovingly worked on.
With patience and curiosity, I sat waiting for a letter from Helena. Today was her first day in Ambrose City, and I was eager to hear about her journey. She had promised to write daily about everything she saw and experienced in that strange place.
After a few hours of waiting, I glanced at the large clock above the bookcase.
11 o'clock... I'll just head to bed. I'll see her letter tomorrow. The next morning, I searched the kitchen, dining room, living room, parlor, by the front door, and the mailbox... but still no letter from Helena.
Maybe she forgot.I practiced a bit for my piano lessons and cast a few spells on the practice dummies in the garden. I also rearranged my bedroom again, for the third time. Everything felt different now that I had regained half of my sight. Things weren't fully clear yet, but I could see, and for that, I was deeply grateful.

Later that afternoon, Flood came to get me, there was a large animal standing in the manor's front yard. I grabbed my wand from the pianoforte and headed toward the garden.
As I stepped outside, the bright sunlight stung my eyes. I blinked, adjusting to the light, and saw white fur, it was the white wolf again. Sebastian.
He walked toward me and transformed back into his human form. He stood up, taller than me by a head, his tanned upper body visible before he pulled on a sweater. As he approached, I could see his face clearly now.
"Ominis," he said with a nod.
"Sebastian," I replied.
He glanced at the wand in my hand, then met my eyes with a smile.
"Planning to attack me, Gaunt?"
He stepped closer. I didn't hesitate.
"Depulso."
"Protego."
"Stupefy.""Protego."
"Levioso."
"Descendo."Sebastian flew into the fountain at the center of the square. I pocketed my wand.
"Let that be a warning. Sallow, you're not welcome here today."He stood, water dripping from his clothes, and pointed a finger at me.
"You have no right to be angry with me, Gaunt. I've done nothing to you in the past two years!"I turned and walked back toward the house.
"Unknowingly or not, you've caused me enough pain. Leave, Sebastian. I'm not ready to speak with you.""Diffindo!" he shouted, attacking me.
"Protego."
"Rictusempra," I countered, a bit of mockery in my tone."Protego."
"Confringo," he said, annoyed."Protego Totalum."
"Sectumsempra," I advanced with a step."Protego Totalum."
"Crucio!" he yelled in frustration. As quickly as he cast the curse, I retaliated.
"Inirum Maledicat."The curse rebounded and knocked Sebastian to the ground, though he appeared unharmed.
