The rules of the game often change in Hell.

That was one of the few things I picked up when I first arrived.

The way a person becomes an Overlord changed since the Radio Demon first appeared and made his way up the food chain. Now---It's anyone's game to those that are chosen.

This had been decided by the Overlords themselves.

Every two years---They would select a candidate and name them successor depending on how a trail goes. These people became known as the Scion's--The Candidates to become the next Overlord should something befall the current.

But so far in the trails--No one had been able to pass.

When I got to Hell--I didn't know about the Radio Demon or even the existence of Overlords.

Until that day... When my name was drawn.

-Years Ago; Pentagram City-

Jaxon didn't know how long it had been.

How long has it been since he died?

    A week? Months? Years?

Time seemed to slip away from him the more time he had spent on the streets of Pentagram City. Maybe it had been because reality didn't hit him at the fact Hell had been a real place for the damned. It felt so similar to Earth and yet it wasn't.

In fact, it had truely been torture.

Instead of a house, he had been living on the streets.

Instead of a hot meal, he had been starving.

Instead of having money, he didn't even have a penny.

There he sat, sleeping at the stairs of a building, in only a torn up sleeveless shirt and jeans with a hole in one of his shoes, revealing a hoof.

GROWL--Went his stomach. He groaned out of annoyance before he rummaged through his bag, getting out what looked to be a slice of bread that had been moldy. Before he could take a bite, until he noticed a dog. It had been a dog with a skull as he had his head down as he whimpered.

    "Huh...You're a strange looking fellow."

He soon noticed he had been looking at the bread. "Oh---You're hungry..."

He soon placed the moldy bread in front of the dog. "Here, you need it more then me."

The dog's tail wagged as he happily ate the piece of bread. Jaxon smiled a small smile before he heard his stomach growl again.

    Jaxon sighed.

"... I guess this is what I deserve after all I've done..."

He was soon taken back when someone placed a paper bag next to him. From the smell, Jaxon could tell it was from a fast food place. His ear twitched before he noticed a shadow over him. He saw it had been a Spider Demon.

He could tell when from his appearance, it had been famous porn actor Angel Dust.

"Uh---I---" Jaxon started to say before he cut him off.
