Epilogue: The Encore

Evening came in Pentagram City as everyone rested easy now that the Cleanse had been cancelled. Though what had once been a happy celebration quickly turned to that of worry. Alastor had told the group about Red and they were quick to bring him back to the hotel as when they had finished renoventing they had a new medical section for anyone that needed it in the hotel when the new residence came.

There Red now rested with a breathing tube to help him rest soundly and a heart monitor had been attached.

Charlie, Jaxon, Xavion, Rai and Ikari watched with worry as Elijah had looked him over.

He soon finished his examination as he had a solemn look. "Elijah?" Charlie soon said, as she stepped forward, "How is he?"

"Not good I'm afraid." Elijah replied, "I stablized him but based on what Alastor explained he took a pretty hard hit from Adam. There's... No telling when he'll wake up."

"You mean... He's gonna just stay like this?" Xavion asked.

"... I'm afraid so." Elijah said noticing the concerned look on Charlie's face, "Don't worry Princess, I'll be keeping an eye on him and will let you know if there's any changes."

"Thank you Elijah." Charlie said with a small smile.

"... Damn it..." Jaxon said, "I knew I should've gone with him! If I had maybe---"

Xavion gave a pat as he said, "I understand, but there was nothing we could have done. And there was no way of knowing that this would happen."

"Red is as stubborn as you are Jaxon-san." Rai said, as she had been wearing a casual yukata, "Death will not come to him so easily."

Ikari added, "He is a strong fighter. Always has been. He will wake up one day. We must have faith."

Charlie soon took notice of Alastor approaching, his hands had been behind his back. "Alastor---" Charlie said, as she placed her hand on his shoulder, "--I'm really sorry. If there's anything you need, don't hesitate to ask."

"Thank you my dear---" Alastor said as he still had his smile, "---Though if you don't mind, I would like to be alone with my Scion."

"Of course." She said before she motioned Jaxon, Xavion, Elijah, Rai and Ikari to follow. They watched as Alastor entered the room, sitting at his bedside with a chair as to keep him company.

"... Charlie---" Jaxon said, "---Do you think Lucifer could heal his wound? If Alastor can't?"

Charlie sighed, "... I don't know. But I can ask him tomorrow."

Xavion rubbed the back of his head as he said, "This is such a predicament, but nothing we can do about it I guess."

"He's right." Rai said, "All we can do now is wait."

Jaxon looked back to the room as they went to turn in for the night; his ears dropped a little at the thought. Xavion soon patted him on the back, "Don't worry, Jax. Like Ikari said. Red's a fighter. He's gonna come back from this."

"Yeah--" He said, "---Right."

"Now come on!" Xavion said, "Imma help ya take Angel out on the best date!"

"What?! Now!?" He said.

"Yes now! This is your first date since forever! So as your designated wingman Imma help ya pick out the best dating spot, the best clothes and the best place where you can---"

"I DON'T NEED TO KNOW THAT PART!" The demon exclaimed as he covered his mouth

Charlie, Rai and Ikari couldn't help but laugh at this interaction as Jaxon turned red with embarrassment as he went to cover Xavion's mouth.
