Time had passed as it seemed like an everyday routine for Dream to go for the lessons with Alastor. Each and everyday she had improved little by little. Here she had been again, so early in the morning, and yet she sat on the bed reading aloud a complex book to Alastor as he listened.

"He reached t-to the top of the bank in a sin---single pow--powerful le--leap. Hazel fo--followed; and to--get---ther they slipped aw--ay, run---ning easily down through the wood, where the first pri---primroses were beginning to blo---om."

Alastor clapped his hands as Dream smiled at this, taking a breath of relief.

"Better! Much better my dear!" Alastor said, "I dare say you could read Shakesphere by now!"

Dream laughed nervously, "I--Don't know about that. But---I wouldn't even be able to read stuff like this if it wasn't for your lessons Alastor! I can't believe all those months of just reading children's books would pay off!"

"Oh don't be so modest!" He said as he appeared next to her on the bed, sitting crossed legged like she had been, "Your sheer determination and studying got you this far! You're mother will be so proud of you for reading a book this complex!"

    "You'd think so?"

"Of course! She's your mother whom first introduced you to the idea of reading a book!"

Dream giggled, "I guess you do make a good point. Though I still have a little trouble writing though."

"One step at a time, my dear, one step at a time!" Alastor said as he patted her head, "Now what do you say we go to the kitchen for a reward for your efforts?"

"Sure! I could go for some of your homemade gumbo!" She said as she hopped from the bed.

Alastor followed suit as he went to the door, after grabbing his cane. As Dream went to put back the book, she noticed a peculiar card on the shelf. It had been her pokemon card--Mew.

"Hey--" She said as Alastor halted his movements, "---My card---!"

Alastor's tuft's twitched, before he smacked himself in the face, "Ah-ha! Silly me! I meant to give that back to you after your game, but alas my mind kept slipping from me."

Dream looked to the card in question, as Alastor told her, "You can take it back with your things. Afterall who knows when the day you go back is! It could be tomorrow or it could be today!"

To Alastor's own surprise however, she took a pen out of her pocket before she wrote something on it. She then approached him and put it in his coat pocket, giving a couple of pats.

"There---" Dream said, "---Consider it thanks for helping me out all these months."

Despite his smile, Alastor looked to the young child, stunned by her actions. It hadn't been long before she had her smile, "Don't worry, I've got a few more Mew cards like that one--Now let's get to the kitchen assuming Sir Pentious didn't blow it up again."

Soon enough Dream went on ahead as Alastor still stood there in shock. He soon took the card from his pocket as he realized, the Mew Card had his name on it, in her own handwriting. It had been sloppy but it was his own name.

He sighed, as he felt something in his chest, "... What a strange child... Just what IS she doing to me?"
