Been one week since they have started working in Anga and it has been-
"Shut up Avyaan!"
"but it was not my fault Avni"
-chaotic, funny and past their imagination. They thought they will be working like a typical servant but to their surprise, karna likes to do most of his work by himself, washing his clothes, cleaning his horse, watering the plants, washing the general dishes he uses like cup or a plate and sometimes cooking too.......like late night since from their one week observation, karna likes to read books but only at night when he is alone though the most of the books are about weapons, laws and past history of Aryavarta with a cup of warm tea which he makes it himself since he does not want to disturb any worker at night.
He does not pressures any worker, nor command them unless it is very critical or important situation which they have not seen till now, he listens to his citizens and help them immediately with patience.............which has no limit, his patience truly has no limits. He does not smile fully, it is always a light one and it only comes when his worker......like avyaan and avni who are same age as sahadeva and nakula, fights on anything ridiculous or when he is spending time with kids outside the palace who sometimes enters too and no one forbids them. From their past one week observation, it tells that karna is a very Good King by far they have seen except some.
His morning and evening prayer always ends with Daan which karna likes to do himself............it is quite astonishing to say but as they have heard thee workers saying "people always assume on their own or believes the rumours rather than their own eyes" which they believe it is true cause even they never thought, karna to be like that and assumed on their own. His trust in his workers have no bound, he trusts his workers and his citizens.
"what are you two doing now?"
"nothing Bhratashree, it is avni who started"
"No Bhratashree! It is avyaan!"
"enough you two, go back inside"
No, they are not karna's brother but they call him cause karna adopted them. It is Vid ji who told them to vanish their curiosity. When karna first came to Anga, he worked continously to make Anga this prosperous as now and in between that he found two kids from different family whose family died in flood as he adopted them, taught them self defense and fighting and kept them here. They call karna bhratashree only when it is inside the palace or when no stranger is present otherwise it Maharaj.
To say in conclusion, Karna is exactly like a sun even without knowing that he is Suryadev's Son. He lights up anyone's life after entering in their dark world. His whole motive in the life is to live for others.............which makes Pandavas feel something......don't know, maybe bitter cause for some reason, they don't want karna to live for others rather they want him to live for himself but Karna being karna, he never listens to anyone, not even workers who speak then what about them who never spoke to him. All day he works and when Vid ji tells him to rest he refuses though he did send Vid ji and workers for rest......but not himself.
"bhratashree! Can I eat apple?"
"of course you can, you don't need to ask avyaan"
Sometimes it makes them feel..........an unexplainable question like, if karna know that they are his brothers then will he embrace them like he embrace avyaan and avni? Would he let them annoy him too yet won't stop them at the same time like avyaan and avni? Will he cares their head anytime too even when he walk past them like avyaan and avni? Will he sit with them and talk to them too like he do with avyaan and avni?.........................maybe they are jealous of avyaan and avni even though they should not be.
They have not spend a proper time with karna even for a while then what kind of feeling is it that is rising inside them to let karna know that they are his brother?......................would he accept them?.................or would he hate them even more?..........does he even hate them? Cause Karna never said that he hates them even to any of single of them, did he? Nope. If their mata- Ah talking about Mata, they haven't meet Kunti from one week, she must be worried about them. They have to let her know that they are okay.......but how?
"Maharaj, your scroll came"
Hmm, maybe Vid ji can help them.
"Vid ji"
"say Granthika"
"I want to visit my mother..........she does not live near instead-"
"no worries, just tell Maharaj and go" Vid ji says, leaving from there as Granthika just gaped before going towards his disguised brothers who also listened to their conversation from far as Aadav mutter out.
"who will got to ask him?"
"jyeshth- bhrata-" Damn! It is too awkward now. They don't even know what to say, it should be normal since they have been calling yudhishtir jyeshth from birth yet...........
"yeah, I will go"
-------------------------------------------------
Taking breath, kanak enters karna's office, finding him going through papers as usual with an empty cup as he says "Maharaj" only to have answer him while looking at the papers, not even glancing up.
"hmm"
".........we want to visit our mother"
"we?"
"me and my brothers"
"I see, go on then" Karna says getting up as he put the file of documents in the shelf before walking out the office while patting on Kanak's shoulder as he says "take care"
It feels as if someone has put warm blanket on him, that's what yudhishtir is feeling right now. It is first time, karna has touched him or any of them and it feels light warm and gentle like a familiar embrace of known one's.
Walking outside yudhishtir went towards his brothers as he nodded his head as a sign of yes before they all walk out of the palace towards the Anga border.
