The King of Hastinapur felt light shuffling beside him making him open his eyes, just enough to know who the person is, only to realise it is his wife who has just woken up from sleep and is now going towards the bath place.
The sound of door being closed echoed in the silent atmosphere of dark room as he sighs, closing his eyes before his mind got flooded with exhausting memories of last night. It is truly an amazing thing to say that now is a King plus Husband too. And not to forget that he does have training of heir from childhood, he has no whatsoever training being a husband.
Well, aren't they both are stranger to each other, so why not start with getting to know each other?................[GROAN] It might sound simple but he is duryodhana, the person who has befriend anyone except his three friends, which not to forget, weren't even friends at first.
In fact, it took few incidents to get to know each other like some childhood incidents where he got accused for something but didn't even tried to defend himself cause, what's the use? But Ashwatthama did saw it that he is not the culprit and that made him and ashwatthama close..........after some more exchange of words.
With Karna, it was at first mutual adversary feeling towards Pandavas but it soon changed after getting to know about karna more and not to forget that other than ashwatthama, it was karna who understood and stand beside him at every point. Not lying that at first he truly wanted to use karna against Pandavas but now it has changed completely.
And talking about Ekalavya, he met ekalavya through karna and even got to know that ashwatthama had already met ekalavya a long time ago. Though the meeting was coincidental as he went to Anga to meet karna but found him there with Ekalavya, it did not took much time for them to get close considering the fact that it took six to seven months with Ashwatthama and a whole year with karna to get close with. And the reason they got close to each other is their mutual annoyance towards royalty and their rules even though they both are royal bloods.
The thing that was same in all three situation was, that duryodhana only offered his hand but it was them who pulled duryodhana in their world, where he got teached that maybe it is just, that his vision is small sighted otherwise the world is surely beautiful outside the curtain of hatred, competition, society, work, burden and all the things are tying him to just one place rather than letting him explore.
The least duryodhana can offer is a hand or some words, he definitely cannot open up himself, infact he has never did it, it is just his friends are too much of observants that they immediately get to know about duryodhana's different demeanour.........maybe because they all are excellent assassins. Which they are cause it is not forgettable that Ashwatthama is infact an assassin with being a warrior in training, currently while Ekalavya is Assassin guild leader with karna being both assassin and warrior. This explains their achievements and success in such less time.
Coming back to the present, this is the problem. Duryodhana cannot open up nor can talk without reason, he would rather stand in the corner than approaching anyone for talk (unless it is his friends) and he has never thought of this as a problem until now..............he has no idea, how is supposed to talk to his wife when he can't even look at her. Might be a hunch, but it seems his life is going to be very much adventurous from now on-

The sound of door bring open and closed again entered his ears as he kept himself calm before forcing himself to think about today's schedule, so that he won't have to think much about that topic.
After a moment he decided to get up but it seems the timing didn't came out to be good, guessing by the surprised gasp from prin- his wife as he walked towards the bath place while keeping his eyesight glued to the ground.
It didn't took him much time to come out or maybe it did but who will point at that? Coming out of the bath place, duryodhana hear the sound of anklets as the occupied space in front of the mirror become empty, letting him come in front of the mirror to get ready properly.
It was all calm until his eyes caught hr silhouette of the person behind making him glance at the right side of the mirror, only to find his eyes staring into pair of dark amber eyes. His eyes didn't stayed for too long as she turn right away while he also went back to fix his crown on the head but the small time didn't stopped him from seeing his wife for the first time.
Those amber eyes matched perfectly with the dark lustrous hair while golden skin shined from the sunlight that are passing through the curtains, telling the story of the care and love she has gotten from her family till now.
It took him time to realise why today is the first time he is seeing his wife since he didn't did the step of unveiling the bride on yesterday night.................talking about yesterday night, he had one thing left to do too and that makes him remember one more thing.............
"Have to go to rajya sabha"
Walking slowly towards the bed, he glanced at the clean bedsheet before walking towards the table as he took out the knife before cutting his wrist while flowing the blood on the bedsheet.
While washing he knife and his wrist cut, he stare at it before shrugging as it did got him a wound but this is more good, remembering the fact that it would be because of him if bhanumati has to listen something from people or the elders.
He walk towards the door before looking at his wife who happens to be in her thoughts as he mutter out "come" while offering his hand to hold. And this is totally her choice whether she hold or not, he just offered it since he has to show people around the palace but to his utter surprise, she did hold it making sigh slightly before he walk out of the room with the Maharani of Hastinapur, His Wife.
None of the maids nor workers noticed them until he hear a familiar cheeky voice coming from behind.
"Guess jyeshth came back"
