LIFE AS SERVANT

The Pandavas sat inside one servant room dumbstruck by the fact that the person they thought to avoid completely..........they literally walk into his house.

"hello guys!" Hearing avyaan's excited voice they all walk outside as avyaan says "come, we all are going to rest in the garden, wanna come?"

They all look at each other before nodding towards avyaan who dragged them towards the garden. They saw all the workers sitting there under shades as nakula introduced them as all the workers introduced themselves politely too. Soon after a while they all started talking, laughing and playing around together until they notice vid ji suddenly stand up. Looking in the same direction as vid ji, they found Angraj............their unknown yet now known brother walking in the corridor before he enters a room which from what they remember is the document/working office.

"come kanak" Vid ji says as they watch their elder brother going with mantri to the office.

"Pranipat Maharaj"

"Pranipat vid ji" Karna says while looking through the documents before he look up finding an unknown face beside vid ji as mantri ji introduced him.

"he is kanak, courtier. We hired new workers, today"

Karna nodded before again going through the documents as he pick out two three papers from between, handing them to kanak who keep them in his hands while karna through another bundle of papers.

After separating all the papers, karna took the papers from kanak's hand and placed the properly as he mutter out "send these papers to Hastinapur" before leaning back on the chair as he asked "has everyone ate?"

Shaking his Vid ji look at karna who sighs before looking at kanak "tell avyaan to send this to Hastinapur and go, eat. Tell others to eat too"

Kanak nodded, bowing down as he left with Vid ji before they walk to the place where all the workers are as kanak gave the papers to avyaan while saying "Maharaj said to send this to Hastinapur and said that we all should eat"

"shouldn't the king eat first?" Tantipala in his curiosity asked loudly as the disguised Pandavas felt they are going to caught but got confused when everyone started laughing as a girl in between them says "actually yes but in Anga, rules are different or you can say there are nit much rules here. Women can eat first and together, workers can eat first if the Maharaj does not want to, we can even converse with Maharaj and are free to speak out of our opinion and thoughts, everyone allowed to freely roam around, everyone is allowed to learn weaponary whether worker or any class or women, anyone is welcome in Anga at anytime - we are always ready to help either enemies or friends. In short this rajya has the most Freedom than any other Rajya"

"you are right Anvi"

The Pandavas felt their eyes widening by each passing word through their ears as they watch all the workers happily smiling, the kids outside the palace playing and laughing yet no one is stopping unlike in their Rajya............or in nay other Rajya. Even the presence of any other person except royals near the palace is enough to give punishment. The workers never make eye contact with any of the royals, always looking down or bowing down. Never open their mouth to object or share any thoughts - they just hear the orders of King and accept their fate just like that...............This feels more like a Rajya than the dictatorship they rule or have seen.

"let's go for work, now" They all mutter out before going back to their work while kanak and Vid ji just walk around the palace as Vid ji explains kanak about everything until they notice Karna coming out the office as he says "I am going now"

Vid ji nodded as karna left the palace before he notice the confused look in kanak's eyes as he explains "Maharaj go for Surya Puja everyday, sunrise and sunset though we don't know why"

Kanak nodded already knowing why karna feels such deep affection towards Suryadev since he is Suryadev's son and the blood relation can never change.

The workers sat in the open ground at the entrance, talking and gossiping together as the Pandavas sit together, feeling as if nothing has changed except the fact that they have more friends and colleagues now as every servant has freedom and it does not seem like as if they are living servant life. They look at the night darkness of sky before their eyes caught karna entering the Palace as they notice that even their sharp senses couldn't been able to catch karna entering the Palace just like the other times when karna enters the Hastinapur palace but their senses never caught his presence until he walk right in front of their eyes.............his steps are more silent than a warrior's even.......like an assassin.

They notice the relaxed expression on karna's face which they have never seen before even for a second as he is always on alert mode and is always sharp about his surroundings but here it is as if he is feeling calm...........not like they aren't feeling that. They didn't realised they where continously staring at karna until avyaan nudged then to go come inside as they got up and left but not before taking a second glance of their eldest brother's calm face.
