IN DUSHASANA'S ROOM
"wh.....what the.........?"
A certain figure inside the room kept staring at her open door with surprise as the Rajkumar left just in a moment. Coming out of the surprise, the figure slowly sunk down on the ground, trembling as the crystal tears filled her eyes before a sob ripped of the throat but before it could hide her sobs behind her hands, it was too late.
The sound of anklets could be heard before it reached to door, only to hear panick visible in the voice.
"What happened!-.....Oh Hidimba" only for the panicked voice to become gentle as the warm arms of Maharani of Hastinapur envelope around the said Rajkumari's trembling figure on the ground.
The room immediately become filled with sobs and soft, gentle whispers and the whispers continued until the sobs calmed down to ocassional sniffle and then nothing with no tears in the eyes.
Bhanumati watch Hidimba rubbing her eyes before she stops her (Hidimba) why grabbing her hands, making Hidimba look up as she starts- "who cries like that, huh? Look, now you will even catch cold! Who will take care of you, huh? Stupid girl!" -sternly only to hear light chuckle from the said person's mouth.
"Sorry jiji"
"Your sorry, to hell if you catch cold"
"[CHUCKLE] ji [SNIFFLE]"
"Now tell me what happened? Why were crying like that?" making Hidimba stand up immediately as she closed her eyes before getting covered by green light until the emerald eyes opened.
The emerald eyes look away from the soft understanding eyes before chuckling bitterly "this.......this hideous thing"
The atmosphere was silent before the sound of anklets came close to Hidimba as she hear "I don't know why you think that.........but here, except you, no one think like that" before the sound of anklets fade away slowly.
------------------------------
"Hello bhratashree" A teasing voice interrupted the second eldest kaurava as he look up to find it is brother or more like 'crime in partner'.
"Vikarna" Dushasana nodded, acknowledging his presence as the Archer entered room, looking around while dushasana went back to the papers only to hear "you do know, right?" making him raise an eyebrow towards his brother who kept whistling before chuckling, saying "I mean, you do know that this all-" while glancing at Ugrasena's room "-won't work, right? In the first place, it was you who stepped towards this. You can't run away, just like that, especially when-" before turning towards dushasana's own room across the corridor "-the Rajkumari also does not have anywhere to go-"
"So what!? I should spend my whole life in a marriage which none of us wanted? Isn't it also wrong? She also does not want-"
"Did she said that?" The question made the second eldest kaurava silent while Vikarna continued "How did you made this decision on your own? Let me make it clear dushasana-" oh ho! Without honorific means seriousness "-you can't have judgements from one side......... don't ruin just from onesided judgement"
Ruin!? Ruin what? Something that was never here in the first place?
Scoffing at the irony, dushasana stare at the empty door from where Vikarna just left as he felt himself going restless until the heavy sounds of footsteps March towards rasoighar(kitchen).
"Bhabhishree"
"Dushasana, come"
"Ah, no. Thanks but I only came for tea"
"I see"
The atmosphere in the kitchen again became silent but not of a comfortable kind, yet none dared to utter a word as dushasana made himself a cup of tea before pouring it, as he step forward to leave the kitchen until the voice from behind stopped him.
"Dushasana"
"Ji bhabhishree"
"Do you have a new ink?"
"Ink?"
"Hmm"
Pondering over for a minute, dushasana nodded as his bhabhishree told him to bring it over making him go towards his own room but stopped outside the door upon seeing the door closed, which is quite shocking as his room door, since the time Rajkumari has came, never been closed unless night time. But thinking, she would be tired, he knocks on the door, ready to take the ink and leave immediately.
"Who is-" The door opened with a question but went quite half way when the emerald eyes recognise the figure standing at the entrance as the Rajkumari immediately stepped back, letting dushasana enter who without glancing, went to take the ink.
He was about to leave the room but paused when he hear a sniffle as he slowly glance towards the source of voice only to properly turn towards the direction when he sees the emerald eyes filled with tears and now covered with red skin which seems to become red from rubbing as fragile tries to hide the red face but was too late.
The situation felt as if the time has stopped before the emerald eyes look up to find the presence still present in the room making ripped, bitten lips open up, only to stop by hearing a booming voice of the second eldest kaurava.
"What happened?"
Dushasana felt his ear drums banging while head pounding as he stare at the figure in front of him with racing heartbeat, who is starting at him wide eyes.
There is nothing but worst scenarios going on his mind, thinking about who or what made her cry as he remembers his past, if she is facing the same thing but is not saying......
.........cause if something has happen then the palace isn't going to stay calm like now anymore.
