SCENT OF REJOICE

"hu....huh?"

The Newly came Daughter-in-law of Hastinapur felt herself astonished at the sudden booming voice before letting a confused small noise from the back of the throat.

It was all silent as the wide astonished yet fearful eyes stare into the eyes filled with rage.

For a moment the silent atmosphere remained until the wide fearful eyes fluttered, relaxing when feeling cold fingertips against the red bruised area near her eyes become they open up, only to directly stare into the onyx eyes that are filled with...............

It makes her wonder if he himself knows what kind of expression he is making right, like..............like he is feeling her pain or..................he wants to feel pain her pain so that she won't have to feel any pain. Especially when, after living here from almost a month, she got to know about everyones thinking even their reputation in each others and others eyes but what she heard or saw came out completely different from what she has felt till now.

Slowly the dreamland of thoughts crumpled when the gentle fingertips left her corner of eyes as she kept looking down until a gentle voice entered her ears "you cried" but the rage behind it can be heard. He sentence felt like a question but it is an statement and she knows that as she slowly back away while muttering "no one's fault".

The atmosphere remained silent making the Rajkumari feel suffocated until she started coughing feeling the overwhelming presence fade away from her side as a nudge against her hand made her look forward to find it is glass of water offered by the said caring person to her.

She took the glass of water, looking up at him to find the concern filled eyes making her heartbeat slow down while the cough stopped immediately. It became too much overwhelming for her that the first thing that came out of her mouth is broken sob making him panic but it didn't stop her from crying.

She can see him panicking, not knowing what to do in this situation, from her blurry eyes until he took a deep breathe, gentle grabbing her boh hands before helping her sit down on the bed edge as he put the glass of water away before it spill.

"Rajkumari-" She heard him trying to ask her why she cried but she can't help but to cut off his sentence in mid cause she can't bear more"W...Why?" She just can't.

"Rajkumari Hidimba?"

"Why are you doing this?" Hidimba asked, looking at him with red eyes, tears stick cheeks and bitten lips from the attempt of stopping her sobs as she watch him surprise at her outburst but she can't stop herself, not now.

"Why are you gentle to me? Why are you caring for me? Don't you know.........." She didn't stop for a second, rubbing her eyes until she realised what she is saying as she glanced at him whose eyes hold so much emotions at that moment, that it made her burst off crying again but this time, his time a cold yet warm and gentle embrace wrapped around her, completely different from her jiji's embrace, which was warm and gentle but this one. This one is protective and safe too, making her lean into the protective embrace more until her ear could hear his heartbeat which amusingly is beating fast enough to make a doctor panic but it made her smile as she glanced up at him who is looking somewhere else but the red tips of his ears could be seen by her as she bite her lips to stop herself from smiling brightly before closing her eyes with a gentle and relieved sigh, as if all her burdens have been thrown away out of his world.

For what felt like long time, both remained in the same position until Hidimba became conscious of their position, as she lightly cough, immediately feeling the arms wrapped around her went away in a flash. She slowly looked up at him, only to stop herself from laughing loudly upon finding him standing up while looking here and there with panicked red face.

But since the laughing couldn't stop, she coughingly let out a giggle, making him self aware as he coughs, standing straight before turning around to leave but she doesn't want that, she doesn't want his comforting presence to go away, making her let out "Rajkumar Dushasana" before she could comprehend herself.

"Hmm?..........Ji?" She watch him turn around to look at her as she took a deep breathe, so that she won't go back after this much "stay for a while if you don't mind............please"

And she visibly watch him battling himself and then loosing too "ji"

Slowly she watch him coming back to his position as he sat down to his previous place, completely confused but she knows what to do and that seem enough for this situation.

Just as Dushasana sat down comfortably, she lena her head on his shoulder and arm's junction making him tense but only for a second as he also relaxed in a moment. And this time the silence didn't felt suffocating.

Slowly by Slowly, the night pass away with her opening her heart and about the past of how her heart got broken even though it was a both sided no choice decision, it didn't stopped her heart from paining before turning her pages towards her life with her parents at that time making him open up about himself too.

And for the first time, it wasn't just a glimpse of his heart but his whole life flashed in her eyes........She came out correct.

His eyes talk more than he himself or anyone knows and she is glad, she could read those beautiful onyx eyes.
