MIRAGE OF HEARTSTRINGS

THE BEGINNING OF REALISATION

"Haa! It is easier to take breath, now that the guests went to their rest place" The Panduputra Archer muttered relaxingly while looking at the beautiful scenery of mid night which is making the palace look dreamy and the surroundings shiny.

He walked until a figure entered his view which came to be the King of Hastinapur who is looking at the scenery outside the palace while having a thin blanket on his shoulder.

His eyes wander around in surrounding to notice it is all silence and empty except him and duryodhana's presence before his eyes went to duryodhana's eyes which are anchor grey making them shine due to moonlight though it doesn't seem he remembers duryodhana having this colour eyes, maybe it was because of poison that they were dark brown before......................since when did he started noticing duryodhana's eye colour? Forget it-

"Arjuna"

Focusing back his attention, Arjuna found that duryodhana noticed his presence and now is looking at him while straighten from his previous position of leaning against the pillar behind.

Though he expected duryodhana to lash out since today was hectic or maybe ignore him after acknowledging his presence but unexpectedly, none of them happened, instead................

"what are you doing here at this time?"................he initiated a conversation which Arjuna is thankful and at the same time not too.

"I could ask the same question..............thinking about your marriage?" Now why did he decided to talk about this? Don't ask cause Arjuna himself does not know though-

"maybe, marriage is a big talk for people who are going to spend their whole life together without knowing each other-" In all honesty, it is quite amusing yet at the same time, strangely different the fact is that duryodhana just casually opened up though Arjuna does know that they had been talking from the time he has been here but he didn't thought that duryodhana would open up again, especially when the most expected thing from duryodhana was to be close book again yet here duryodhana is, proving him wrong again "-from before. Beside I don't know how she is or how-" And what is this talk about marriage? Might it was him who asked duryodhana about marriage but this whole topic is just giving him headache and annoyance.

"-juna"

"Arjuna!!" A whisper yell dragged arjuna out of trance as he look at front to find duryodhana with a light frown, must be him who yelled right now.

"it is already past midnight, we should sleep now-" Duryodhana muttered while glancing at Arjuna who noticed duryodhana's concern by the sudden absent mind of arjuna as the said archer felt his mind being cool down "-beside tomorrow I have more work to do of marriage" though it didn't took long enough to bring back the bitter taste in Arjuna's mouth by hearing duryodhana's marriage and he has no idea, why in the first place is he feeling bitter everytime by listening about duryodhana's marriage?

Hearing the fading footfalls of duryodhana, Arjuna found himself alone in the corridor, in front of garden before he look up at the shining moon only to sigh when he found himself overthinking about this bitter feeling curling inside.

Maybe he should sleep since overthinking has never been good in his case.

IN THE MORNING

The morning came early, at least for Arjuna since he went to sleep late and he can't say he is not feeling sleepy right now while stumbling around the palace but that sleep didn't last longer when number of yells and laughters entered his ears.

"-already want to see bhabhishree's face?"

"Re! Re! You shouldn't say like this jyeshth"

"haha, never knew bhratashree can also fall for someone"

"you are talking about this and I never thought he would even get marry in this life"

"pfft!"

"Aparajit!!"

"felt similar but jyeshth always manage to prove us wrong"

"True but still jyeshth...........when?"

Arjuna felt suddenly completely awake while gritting his teeth, Dammit! His mood is again sour and it is more bad considering it is morning right now, the whole day is left.

Peeking lightly inside the room, Arjuna found Viravi, Veeryavan, Ugrasarva, Sushena, Suvarna, Aparajit, Chithra and Subahu sitting on the bed with duryodhana sitting on the left chair, away from his brothers while pinching his nose in irritation as he answers "it is nothing like that"................Is it bad to say that this sentence just made Arjuna's mood better?

.............Anyways he shouldn't peek inside someone's room especially when they are having family time. Beside he was supposed to find his mother not peeking inside someone's room, early morning.

While walking towards his mother's room, Arjuna heard another voice left corridor making him look towards that direction only to find Ashwatthama and Ekalavya walking while ashwatthama speak "-though it is truth. Not always this type of marriage works. Not saying negatively, I genuinely feel happy that it worked for you three"

"I know, it always does not work but I think it is a good improvement that we are friends right now"

"indeed-"

Must be about Subhadra & Ekalavya, though it is indeed good that they at least become friends and that Dushala & Subhadra are still best friends.

"-who knows what future brings, maybe you both will fall in love too" It was a mutter from the Kirpikumar after Ekalavya entered the room and ashwatthama was still outside but yeah, who knows what future holds.

Talking about love, when is he (arjuna) going to fall in love?.............
