"Girlfriend?"

"Uhh yeah... supposedly." Tyler answered as manoeuvre his car leaving the university.

"He's Aeon's first love. They're actually been together so since their young because you see. Celine is the heiress of the Hacienda Coronel so families and ties got them closer. But Celine left to study in Manila and that caused them to fought. I don't know if their still communicating after that. But well now she's definitely back." he explained.

First love. Wow I feel a tiny sting in my heart. He likes me?

Maybe because I was just diverting his attention.
Buong biyahe akong tahimik. Tyler asked questions and I answered him as if I'm lost for words. Nang pumanhik ako sa mansyon ay para akong tamlay na gulay. My energy is drained due to the bewildering thoughts that pops on my mind.

"Hoy anong problema mo teh?" tanong ni Maye habang nagdidilig kaming halaman.

"Ha? Wala."

"Si Sir Aeon ba? Nag away ba kayo?" tanong nito na nagpatigil sa akin. I looked at her and I was taken a back when she's staring back at me.

"A-anong pinagsasabi m-mo?" I stuttered.

"Wala. Basta kung may nais kang i- share jan, makikinig lang ako." she said with meaning and she continued her work. Wala namang dapat i- share.

Walang isyung dapat pag usapan.

I went to Alfonso's room to do my cleaning. As expected wala siya rito, ano pa bang inaasahan ko.

Baka masayang nakikipag date na yon sa girlfriend niya.

Naiinis ako oo, Although he and I doesn't have a thing, he told me liked me tapos heto siya't may girlfriend na pala.

I'm not expecting that we could be more. I just feel like being taken for granted. Like a second pick cheap bargain that he liked but he never bought and payed on the cashier.

Iwinaksi ko ang aking isip at ginugol na lang ang oras sa paglilinis. Hanggang sa napagawi ang aking tingin sa picture frame sa ibabaw ng kanyang drawer malapit sa kama. I saw it before but my feet dragged me towards it again.

Ito yung picture niya maybe taken years ago. And he's with a beautiful girl. Kinuha ko ang frame upang matitigan ito ng mabuti at mula sa loob ng frame ay may nahulog na papel.

Dinampot ko ito at ganon nalang ang kirot ng mabasa ang sulat na sana ay di ko nalang binasa.

'Yon and Line forever'

So this young girl is Celine. She's everything I am not.

I don't know why but a tear escaped in my eyes.

Ayaw ko mang aminin, maybe I already let him inside my heart. I love Alfonso.

I automatically wiped my tears when I heard the door knob moved. Kaya ibinalik ko sa dati ang larawan.

My eyes drifted to Alfonso.

"Hey... uhh kumain ka na?" I asked.

"Yeah." He answered short.

"Nililinis ko lang ang kwarto mo. Aalis na ako, tapos na naman."

He just nodded as an answer. I felt a coldness on his actions and voice and his eyes... it look tired.

Maybe it's a sign to build distance once again.

The next morning, wala kaming imikan sa sasakyan. The aircondition is off but his coldness stiffens me.

Imbes na mag isip ng kung ano ano ay nakinig nalang ako sa lessons namin dahil palapit na naman ang exam.

"Let's have a lunch. My treat." Tyler presented na nagpa excite sa mga kaibigan ko.
