Chapter 27

"Tyler." I heard my own shallow breathing. I grabbed his hand and we ran off. I even heard the crowd throwing questions. And I know pati si Tyler ay naguguluhan sa ginagawa ko.

"Let's talk privately." Hindi naman siya tumugon at nagpatangay nalang until we found ourselves at the Green Roof. I was busy catching my breath when he speak.

"I got a bad feeling about this." nilingon ko siya and I saw him sitting on the bench with his eyes on the ground kaya nilapitan ko siya.

"Tyler I'm sorry."

"Am I too fast? Di mo ba nagustuhan? I can try something new. Just tell me." he pleaded with his soulful eyes.

"No Tyler. Hindi lang talaga ako handa pumasok sa isang relasyon."

"Do you like someone else?" He asked straight into my eyes and an image of Alfonso flashed into my mind.

"N-no. I j-just... gusto ko lang magfocus sa pag aaral. You know my priorities." I reasoned out. Bumuntong hininga siya.

"I just got dumped." He laughed without humor.

"I'm really s-sorry Tyler. We can be friends." He just smiled as a response.

"Mauna ka na. I have to heal my broken heart." He said.

Agad naman akong lumapit sa kanya at niyakap. He hugged me back tightly and when it loosen up I hurriedly ran towards the exit.

Pagdating ko sa room ay nagkagulo sila at balak pa sana akong i-interviewhin mabuti nalang at dumating yung prof namin. Ilooked at Aragon and when he saw me looking at him, he look away. Tyler on the other hand is nowhere to be found the entire day.

"Ano na? Kayo na ba?" Rein giggled as they circled me. The boys just sat back and listened to our conversation. Nag paiwan kami kahit na uwian na para pag usapan ang nangyari kanina.

"Actual-."

"OMG! This will be big." Owen rejoiced. I don't want to ruin their happiness but I have to tell them the truth.

"Hindi ko siya sinagot." I said in a low tone. Sabay sabay silang napatingin sa akin na may nabibiglang ekspresyon.

"Ano!" Halos sabay nilang sigaw.

"Binasted mo!" bulyaw ni Jeah na kinagulat ko dahil di maipinta ang mukha nito. I can see Keith and her squad listening to us nearby.

"Alam niyo namang pag aaral parin ang uunahin ko."

"Kahit na! Alam mo Sam pina-asa mo ang tao!" dagdag pa ni Jeah saka ito galit na umalis. Di naman kumibo sina Owen at Rein. Naintindihan ko sila dahil kulang nalang ay sila ang liligawan ni Tyler tuwing dumidiskarte siya sa akin.

Minsan di ko rin maintindihan ang sarili ko pero isa lang talaga ang alam ko at iyon ay ang isaalang alang ang pangarap ng pamilya ko, ni Lola.

"Sayang. Alam mo Sam you two look good together."
Napabuntong hininga ako sa tinyran ni Rein.

"Looking good together doesn't guarantee happiness." sambit ko.

"Hayaan niyo na si Sam mag decide para sa sarili niya." Elias said and he smiled at me while I'm starting to criticize myself.

I was taken aback when I saw Alfonso waiting for me at the gate and he is looking at me intently. I hurriedly went to him and get inside his car. Kuya Lucio whistled an old song at nang pumasok na si Alfonso ay tinigil niya ito at pina andar na ang makina.

"Kayo na ba? Congratulations." He said bitterly as he look outside.

"H-hindi. Hindi kami." bulong ko. Awtomatiko naman siyang napabaling sa akin.
