"hey"

"Hi, Osamu"

"y/n says she'll be assistant manager"

"Oh! Great! I'll come to your class
at lunch to take her to the office, unless
you can"

"nah, i wanna eat. you have fun
though"

you had been hanging over osamu's shoulder, watching as he typed.

you pulled yourself off with a scowl, "the office? for what?"

osamu placed his phone face down on his desk, glancing towards the front of the class to make sure your teacher hadn't noticed you two yet.

"to be a manager you need to go to the office and get some paperwork done. you also need to talk to coach," he explained, making your brows furrow.

he let out a small scoff at your reaction, "you didn't think you could decide to be the assistant manager and then just be the assistant manager, did you?"

you stuck your lip out in a pout as you pulled away, "i kinda did.."

he rolled his eyes at the absurdity, "yeah, well now you have to wait. our game is tomorrow, you definitely won't be manager by then."

you slumped in your chair, burying your face into your arms. why hadn't you thought about that? of course there some sort of process to go through.

you suddenly sat up straight, nudging your friend lightly, "and hey! why don't you want to take me?" you scowled, acting as if osamu taking you rather than kita would solve anything.

osamu furrowed his brows as he pulled away from you. "cus i'm hungry?" he responded dryly, but there was a smile playing on his lips.

you rolled your eyes at that 'duh' undertone in his words before slumping back into your chair.

you should've made up your mind sooner.

after an agonizing 3 hours, the bell finally rang for lunch. you had been trying to pass the time by taking notes for your test on thursday, just waiting for kita to come.

"hey!" kita barged into your classroom, the sudden intrusion turning a few heads. he ignored all them, walking up to your desk where you had furiously been scribbling in your notebook.

he couldn't help the light chuckle that slipped past his lips at the sight of you hunched over, your messy hair falling over your face, and your tongue sticking out as you wrote.

"you ready to go?" he interrupted, forcing you to pull your head up and push the hair out of your face.

you nodded quickly before turning to osamu, "i'll see you in a little?"

osamu hummed, only offering a thumbs up as he watched you and kita leave the room.

you trailed behind the boy, speed walking ever so slightly so you could catch up to him.
