The boys dropped me home and I walked, limping on one leg.

"Wow, he got you good." Caleb uttered. "Yes, a real fighter."

He lifted me off the ground and I gasped, holding on to him. "A warning, please." I said. He laughed. "Nah, I do like surprising you." "Mm." I smirked and rolled my eyes.

He pushed open the door and he looked around. "How many times have you cleaned this place?" He asked.

"About...a million times." "Damn." He set me down on the couch and he pulled the Ottoman to my foot. He placed it gently and he stood up.

Liam walked inside with a bag of groceries and kept them on the kitchen counter.

"Liam! Come on, we gotta tidy this place up!" Caleb said.

"No, guys it's fine. I'll do it." I said, getting up. Caleb pushed my head back onto the couch and stared at me. "You stay put."

I rolled my eyes and sat on the couch, crossing my arms.

They both picked up the broken pieces of whatever had fallen  off and bleached the floor.

"Oh, hell. I'm in the hospital again." I said.

"It's great, isn't it?" Liam teased. I grunted. "Yeah."

After they finished, they both fell to the couch on either side of me. "That was fun." Caleb said.

"It would've been more fun if you at least let me help!" I said.

"How are you gonna help with a limping foot? Dumbass." I rolled my eyes. "Here's the bullying again."

He laughed.

"Can we clean your room?" Liam asked. "Why? So you can find my panties? Please." I rolled my eyes. He shrugged. "Worth a shot."

I chuckled and hit him softly with the back of my hand. "You've both done so much. Thank you." "Stop thanking us." Caleb rolled his eyes.

"Fine. Fuck you."

"Better."

I smirked and leaned back on the couch.

"Sure feels a little weird." I said.

"Yeah? Maybe it's because El isn't here." Liam said.

"Yeah, maybe. But there's no screaming. No shouting and throwing tantrums. It's just quiet. It's scary." I stared up at the mantle and a little snow globe stood there.

"This is a good thing. It's a good start. No More violence. Just...peace in the house." Caleb said. I smiled and nodded. "Yeah."

Liam got up and patted my thigh.

"Alright! I've gotta go. I can't stay or the bleach will get to me and make me high. Mom's gonna question everything and ask who I killed."

"Alright." I grinned.

"Caleb, you coming?"

"Nah, I'll make sure she's got dinner." "Sure. I'll see you tomorrow, Cora!" "Okay."

He pinched my chin gently and winked. "Bye." He walked away from the living room and out the door.

I chuckled and leaned back on the couch.

"Wow." I uttered. He scoffed and cracked his neck.

"Yeah. Wow."

"You don't like him anymore?" I asked, raising my brow.

"Not that. He's a great guy." "But?"

"He's always got his hands on you."

I laughed. "He's just playful." "You're gullible as fuck."
