A Failure.

"Cora?" Nina reached for my arm. I clenched my jaw as she gently grabbed me. "Cora?" She repeated. I jerked my hand away from her grip and I pushed past Kelsie.

I opened the door and I saw mom putting Elora inside the car.

"Cora! Please don't let her take me away!" El screamed.

I walked down the pathway but Mom raised her hand up, warning me.

"If you come any closer, you're gonna have another crime on your list." She threatened.

"You have no idea how to take care of her." "Don't worry, you've taught me enough." She smirked. She got in the car and the man smiled at me.

"Take care, kiddo." He said. I clenched my jaw and he got into the car. I walked towards the car. I didn't care if I had the cops after me. I was filled with rage. I wanted my sister back. I needed her back.

The car pulled away as I approached it and I started running after it.

"Elora!" I screamed out.

I saw her little hands banging on the rear window, screaming. Her words were muffled up by how far the car was. "Elora!" I ran trying to catch up. I didn't know where I was but I had to find her. I had to get her back.

The car sped away from me and left me in the middle of the empty street.

"Elora!" I screamed, falling down on my knees. I sobbed my tears out, clutching hard on my chest as it tightened. I fell to the floor, banging my fists on the gravel.

The car became a speck from afar and all I could do was stare at it as it drove away. I sat up, watching it take a left and disappear from sight.

She's gone. She's fucking gone and I don't know where. I didn't know what to think. I didn't know how to feel. I finally knew what emptiness felt inside and it felt gruesome.

She was the only thing that could fucking keep me going and she was taken away from me so easily. Without even a second for me to take it in. She slipped away. Just like that.

I saw headlights beam behind me but I couldn't bring myself to move. I sat still, hoping possibly they'd have a change of heart and bring her back. But then again, it was them. And I was me.

I heard footsteps approach me and I glared into the darkness. Fuck! I lost her! I fucking lost her! Everything I did! To keep her fucking safe just so some bitch can come take her away! Fuck!

I felt a hand on my arm. "Cora, let's get you home." Patty said. I jerked his hand off and I got up, glaring at him. "Leave me alone!"

"Cora.." Nina walked toward me and I looked at her. "Don't come near me." I said, with my eyes filled with tears. I stared back at the direction they took off and I looked back at Nina.

Caleb, Liam and Kelsie stared at me from the car and I took a step back.

"She's gone..."

"Cora, come on. We'll talk about this at home." Patty said.

He reached out for my hand but I pulled away from him.

"No! Don't touch me! She was supposed to be safe with you! She was supposed to be happy! She was supposed to be laughing and not crying in that motherfucking bitches car!" I sobbed.

"Cora, please baby come with us."

"No. Please...just leave me alone." I walked back and Nina stood next to Patty, holding on to his arm.

"I did all I could. And I fucking failed." I whispered.

I turned around and I ran as fast as I could.
