We set for Arkansas hoping to find shelter. We went everywhere for two months, town to town finding Elora. It took us a few weeks to know she wasn't there.

We got back on the road again and I sat in the passenger's seat, tapping my fingers on my lap.

"We have so many problems Caleb. This is a nightmare." I said. He frowned. "I know. I'm sorry it's all happening. But once we know where she is, we can get her back."

He reached over to grab my hand and he brought it gently to his lips. "Baby, we're gonna find her. Don't worry." I nodded and I looked at him.

"We're gonna have this tough road trip." I said.

"We can take it as a dating pool for us." I laughed a little. "So, this is a date? Each day we travel is a date?" He nodded. "Yeah, making up for the time we lost."

"I don't think it's lost. I believe we're only getting started."

"Yeah?" I nodded.

"Okay, remember your 4th birthday party?"

"We've talked about this, Babe."

"I know, but I feel thankful for them making us do that. I really just wanted to have someone to kiss. Movies, cartoons, everything. I was curious."

I chuckled. "Well, your first kiss turned out to be the girl you're dating 14 years later." He smiled.

"It's never too late, sweetheart. I'm just glad I have you."

"Me too."

"I know Liam loves you too. Even if at first he pretended to be nice. But caught on. He realised why I loved you so much."

"Why's that?"

I giggled and I leaned into him and kissed his cheek.

"More!" He commanded. I chuckled and I peppered kisses down his neck onto his shoulder and down to his arms.

"Oh, boy. So wonderful!" He exclaimed.

"So what's next?" He asked as I pulled away.

"We gotta head up east. I guess we stay away from everyone first, it's mayhem." "Okay."

I stared out the window and he slid his hand on my thigh again.

"Caleb..."

"What?" "You know about the thigh thing." "I'm just being comfortable." I smirked and I pushed his hand away.
