The next day, Caleb got dressed and I made him breakfast. I figured the earlier he gets to the store and gets the work done, the lesser the cops realise.

He kissed my head and smiled. "I'll see you later." I smiled.

He got in my car and drove away. I wasn't so fond of seeing someone else drive my car but I could forget about it for now. I fucking let Liam drive how fucking irritating.

I pulled out the map of the US and laid it down on the table, I figured if possible I could head up to New Jersey and meet Aunt Helga and tell her what happened. It would take me a long time.

Possibly a day non stop. I sighed. This would be so fucking tiring. I hated running. But I had to run. Because my sweet daddy left me no choice.

I packed up all my important belongings and placed them at the door. I made lunch for myself and I waited for Caleb to return back.

I think it sucked awfully how much Liam cared just for it to be fake. I could possibly doubt Caleb too but then again he's so genuine and I fucking adored him.

It hurt me a lot to even have to say goodbye to the only family I ever had tonight and I couldn't even bring myself to come up with words that'll ease the situation.

Elora's departure changed everything for me entirely and I had to get her back somehow. But I knew it would take years. I didn't know where she was. I didn't know what she could be doing at the moment.

I wished she were okay. But who am I kidding? Her sick son of a bitch father was relentless. He'd want the job done and he'd probably hurt her if she said no. So she had to comply anyway.

I sat down, pushing my hair back for the millionth time today. What the fuck was I gonna do? Caleb wanting to come with me could seem like a good idea but then again it just hurts that he's putting himself through this with me.

He could be out there moving on, legally. He could maybe find a girl and he'd get a job and his whole life was waiting for him. But he chose to come with me. To be with me. To love me.

How ridiculous.

I heard the car pull up outside and I went out to see my freshly painted car.

"Wow!" I uttered, brushing my fingers lightly on the car. "She's so beautiful."

Caleb got down from the car and he grinned.

"I'm sorry it took longer than expected. Ceaser didn't let me pay. He said it was on the house."

"Yeah, well, he owed me anyway." I shrugged.

"Oh." I smiled.

"Come on in." We went inside the house and I sat down.

"Did anyone see you?" I asked.

"I don't think so. I stayed low. I threw my phone away too."

"Good." I bit my lip as I leaned back on the couch.

"Are you okay?" He asked. I smiled. "I will be. I'm just tired. Thinking about how you still wanna tag along with me and go on this journey."

He chuckled.

"Well, I really want an adventure with you. It's fun."

I smirked. "Even if I may have to kill someone?"

"You can teach me how to." I laughed. "I'd do anything not to turn you into me." He smirked and pulled me to him.

"I wouldn't mind. We're both in trouble anyway." I giggled and kissed his lips gently.
