Chapter 57 (Keep Quiet)

"Ugh! Now that our team has finished our match, I'm ready to go. I'm hungryyy! I think I'm in the mood for chicken." I said.

"It's now time for the fifth and final match!" Vlad announced. "This one's for all the glory. Are you ready? Do your best until the last student's down! Begin!"

While everyone was preparing, gathering, and planning, I snuck over to Kacchan to talk to him.

"Hey you." I smirked.

Kacchan gasped. "What is it?" he responded, rolling his eyes.

"So, did you see me out there? I was pretty cool, huh?"

"What are you talking about?"

"I mean that figures. I am me after all. That last finishing move I did. Smart thinkin, don't ya think?"

"Get to the point already."

"I was just thinking... We should try combo moves!" Kacchan's eyes widened in curiosity. "Peaked your interest there? Think about it! Our quirks cancel out each other, but what if we can learn to control where the excess blasts shoot to create a diversion and more openings. Smart, right?"

Kacchan hummed. "Theoretically, it sounds like a solid plan, but it could also be dangerous. You can't even aim your blasts right now, what makes you think you'll be able to direct them to control mine?"

I raised an eyebrow. "Ya know it's this thing called training. I thought you'd heard of it before."

"Tch. Alright then, I'm on board. We'll see how long you'll last in this rigorous training. I'm no softy." Kacchan said, smirking.

"You don't get it do you? Me, of all people, would never shy away from a little hard work. Get ready for a training hell with me, Kacchan."

Our flirting was cut short when we heard our names were mentioned by Class B's jerkface.

"You're friends with Takayumi and frienemies with Bakugo, right? Then maybe you can explain. How can they smile like nothing ever happened when they let themselves get captured. And because they weren't able to protect themselves, the Symbol of Peace is gone!"

My eyes widened. I felt a massive ping in my chest and extreme guilt crept in. I never thought about it like that. Am I really the reason All Might lost his power? I looked at Kacchan but he didn't look back. He just stared at the monitors and grabbed my hand.

"It's not true." He said in a confident voice. He reminded me of that night and I smiled slightly.

'He's right. All Might was always going to lose his power.... But still... By us getting abducted, we sped up that proccess... I can't help but feel a least a little guilty.' I thought.

All of a sudden, something happened to Izuku. Dark energy in the form of black and blue strings stemmed from his body. Everyone gasped.

But something was off. Izuku didn't look comfortable like this was his doing. He put his foot on his arm. He was fighting himself! I saw a tear fly from his eye before he shouted out, "RUN!!!" and his quirk slammed him into a wall.

"When did Midoriya get a new move?" Sero said.

All Might ran up to Aizawa and Vlad King.

"Aizawa, you have to stop this match. Something's wrong." he said frantically.

'That does it. This has to have something to do with One For All. But if that's the case then why is All Might so freaked out? And why doesn't Izuku have control over his power? Something's not right. This is seriously NOT good.' I thought.

Aizawa, Vlad, and All Might rushed out into the field and left us to watch on the platform.

"What is this?..." I said under my breath. I saw Kacchan glance at me out of the corner of my eye.

While Izuku's quirk was destroying everything around him, out of nowhere, Uraraka literally jumped into action and held onto him.

"Deku! Please, calm down!" she shouted. But Izuku just kept thrashing around. She caught sight of Shinso and thought of a brilliant idea. "Shinso! Quick! You're power! Use it to help Deku!"

Shinso just stood there, shocked, not doing anything! Frustration grew in me.

"Help him, moron!" I whisper shouted.

Then he yelled, "Midoriya! Stop playing around and fight me!"

Izuku struggled, but he managed to yell back, "...Okay!" And just like that, Izuku was brainwashed and his quirk stopped and re-entered his body.

I felt relief as he and Uraraka descended to the ground slowly. She had to slap him to unbrainwash him and wake him up. I giggled at the fact and Kacchan side eyed me.

"Even in the most serious moments, you somehow still manage to laugh. You're a mystery." Kacchan said.

"Someone's gotta be the life of the party." I shrugged my shoulders.

Just then, Monoma came in behind Izuku and swiped at him. Izuku dodged in time and Uraraka attempted to pin Monoma to the ground, but he quickly evaded her.

"This battle isn't over, Class A." Monoma reminded everyone.

Class B unleashed an attack that sent random objects flying everywhere, but Ashido and Mineta came and countered as many as they could.

"Midoryia, Uraraka! You guys okay?" Ashido asked.

"The whole team's here now!" Uraraka responded. "It's a brawl!"

Sooooo, long story short, Izuku stopped using his quirk and fought Shinso alone and he still managed to overpower him even without his quirk. Uraraka managed to capture Monoma and put him in the prison, and Ashido and Mineta helped put the other two away as well. Giving Class A the win!

"Things looked awfully dangerous for a second there, but the fifth match has now been concluded. This marks the end of today's training!" Midnight announced, taking over Vlad's job. "You've learned about enemies and yourselves. You fought bravely and showed your pro potential. Now, without further ado, the results. Match One: A, Match Two: B, Match Three: Draw, Match Four: A, and Match Five: A. The winners of the hero course battle are Class 1-A!"

"YEAH!" our class cheered.

And with that, our training ended. However, I still had some unfinished business. It was time I addressed the elephant in the room.

Later that night after our after party in our dorms, I asked Izuku and Kacchan to come to my room.

I walked over to my door to let them in.

"Thanks for coming." I said.

"Whatever. Why'd you bring us over this late at night?" Kacchan growled.

"I wouldn't have phrased it that way, but I'm also curious as to why you texted us." Izuku said.

"Right. I'll cut right to the chase then." I started. "I thought it was best to keep it a secret since that's what was already being done, but after seeing what happened to Izuku today, I can't keep quiet... I have to get involved..." I looked both boys in the eye before continuing.

"I know about One For All..."
