-TUESDAY, JANUARY 10TH, 2023.-

I woke up, it was 6 AM, I was living alone with Risk, who worked UPS, my best friend, I moved to Hometown after my mom and dad divorced, and he did too, since both of our parents said that we needed "more responsibility", or something. Risk was 18, only a year older than I was, like an older brother to me, mean, rude, and harsh, but who cares, he was going to help me become stronger, at least that's what he said to me, he always promised me that, so I hoped he was right.

Risk- "Wake up.... you misguided child....."

he then went on..

Risk- "WAKE UP!!!!!!!"

I yawned sightly.

Jack- "AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"

I woke up fully now, and got up.

I then realized after we got off walking to school that this would probably just be another boring Tuesday, and no, that's not a good thing. Another day of long work, another day of nothingness until school ends, but when school ended, it was time. Risk and I entered the closet. It was usual protocol. We would go in, try to get out, and not tell anyone about it, the dark fountains that was. The school has apparently existed for 60 years. 1962, the day Hometown School, a K-12 school, and Hometown's only education center opened. The town was always small and underpopulated, but it was the only "Monster Town" in America, and the other half of the town, the more populated and wealthy Hometown North, was like living in the Korean DMZ for Monster's that lived there with the humans. Ever since 2013, Monster's have had equal rights to us humans, along with half breeds as well ever since their "un-banishment" from the Underground here in CO, in Mt. Ebbott, our state's tallest mountain. Now that sight is abandoned. The United States government lets Monster's get jobs, own property, even vote and of course go to school with other humans, at least post segregation that is. And for 10 years, officially, they've been able to integrate once again, returning to the once abandoned Hometown, but humans live here too, it's just that people in the general area can't handle living by anyone who isn't like them, so the intolerant humans moved to Hometown North, oh, and me and Risk, yeah none of the Monster's hated us. Well, some did, but the people genuinely didn't even care, not even the police harassed me, and human cops from other towns and cities would never even be respected by any of the Monster's here, especially not even by the Hometown PD. Eitherway though, aside from the downsides of being a human living in America's only official Monster Town, it was never a problem for me and my friends, it was just something to think about.... me and Risk decided we were gonna descend down as usual, when we came back though there was nothing going on down there, just the same old same old, it was 5 PM now, what was I doing?
