Chapter 97: Rei Meets Ralsei

-SUNDAY, JULY 30TH, 2023.-

So today was just a Sunday morning, and since it was a nice summer day, instead of going to the Dark World, I decided to Meet Ralsei today at Kris' house with John, because he wanted to meet me, so I was glad, and we both went, but as we got there, Ralsei opened up the door, letting us know Kris was there but in their bedroom and that their mom was at a meeting to prepare for when school starts in less than 2 weeks. He also told John to wait outside as well. It was around 11 AM as this went down, with skies outside mostly cloudy but there still being some sun as it was a bit windy, temps being around 64 degrees outside, as I then went in while Ralsei shut the door and the screen behind me, John just standing by outside waiting, as Ralsei sat me down on the recliner and HE sat down on the couch, talking to me about some "serious" matters after we introduced ourselves to each other.

Ralsei- "Well, it is nice meeting you and all Rei, I'm sorry about your brother by the way, I am aware he died months ago and you moved here a day later expecting to live with him just for this to be your reality, I'm glad you at least got the courage to come back to the Dark World even knowing you lost your brother down there, but of course we both agreed to not tell anyone he's dead, we can't LET everyone know about the Dark World now even though I'm from there and made Darkeners and Lighteners living together possible with Gaster, hehe, that area must still be preserved, but nevertheless, I hope you're okay now........"

Rei- "Well thanks I uh.....- I..... guess you never realize how much space a person occupied in your life until their absence creates an echoing void."

Then, after only 10 minutes, post-Ralsei asking me if I wanted any water or if I was ok as I got a little sad after saying that, but tried my best to hold it in and I did not care as much once I left, I walked out that door for one final time during the day, looking up at the sun and then back at Ralsei who waved bye to me, telling me he'll see me later as I just waved back, bidding him farewell, he shut the door and screen on John and I, and we both walked home, John putting his arm around my shoulders, and my arm doing the same with him, as he reassured me that everything will be alright.
