-WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 25TH, 2023.-

It was a Wednesday afternoon, and school was finally over. Instead of heading home, Akahiro and I decided to venture into the Dark World together. We had been exploring on our own more often lately.

As we navigated through the forest, we found ourselves standing outside the grand entrance of Card Castle. I stumbled upon a curious object, gleaming near the castle's entrance. The object was a locket, its surface encrusted with intricate symbols that seemed to pulse with an otherworldly energy. Despite being empty, it glowed with a soft golden light. I picked up the locket and felt a jolt of energy coursing through my body, as if infused with an otherworldly power. Akahiro approached me, a hint of curiosity in her eyes. "What's that you've got there?" she asked.

I wrapped the locket around my neck, feeling it click into place. As it shut, my eyes glowed a brilliant white, my skin shining with an otherworldly aura. After a moment, the glow subsided, and my eyes returned to normal.

Jack- "This is a SOUL LOCKET, it can contain a soul. When someone dies, it can hold their soul."

With the new SOUL LOCKET safely around my neck, I reassured Akahiro that I would take good care of it. She nodded, seemingly relieved. We cautiously made our way back through the portal at the top of Card Castle and emerged into the light world. As we exited the school at night, it was 8 PM and the streets were eerily silent as a fierce blizzard raged on, the temperature dropping to a frigid 1 degree. The sky was pitch black, and the street lights flickered erratically. It snowed all day yesterday but got really bad today, so bad that the temps were almost in the negatives.

Jack- "We should hurry home, you're staying at my place tonight cmon!"

With the dangerous weather outside, I knew it was safer for Akahiro to come back with me to my place. "You should stay with me tonight," I said. "It's not safe to be out in this storm." She nodded, seeming grateful for the offer. "Yeah, my parents won't mind. They know I'm hanging out with a new friend."

We huddled together against the biting wind and began walking quickly towards my house. As we ran through the parking lot, a strong gust of wind blew snow in our faces. We both shielded our eyes, pushing forward with determination. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to us, Gaster watched from behind the trees. He chuckled darkly as he observed our progress, a sinister smile playing on his face. He was eager to execute his plans for tomorrow, and all he needed now was the SOUL LOCKET in my possession.
