-THURSDAY, JANUARY 12TH, 2023.-

So today, after school, we just went home because Risk had work, but here's the thing you might not get- even though what happened yesterday was TRAGIC, and even though it could've been worse, Risk, when we got home at around at 4 PM, told me to not go to the Dark World while he was gone, and I'll be honest, I didn't care for a word he said, not just because he told me that, but because last night, he was mean to me, and I didn't like that, so when I heard this, I nodded, but I wasn't really going to listen. As he left around 30 minutes later, me knowing he was gonna work long ended up just leaving anyways, not like I cared, but it was hard indeed sometimes, I felt guilty not listening to him, but not so much, and when I went outside, I saw a new girl, one I've never seen before. Ok no, that was a lie, we've went to the same school and had classes together, and we still do, it's just we've never talked, really. Her name was Noelle, a girl who recently had one her older sister go missing about a few years ago in the summer of 2018 and has since remained an only child, but when I saw her, she was just sitting next to a lunch box she had with her, but all that really seemed to be in it was a green apple, and she was sitting by a tree eating that apple as she was listening to music on her phone with her wired headphones on, she took a bite and as she swallowed, she looked up at me. I thought she was kind of cute despite her being a deer woman and me being a full on human boy, so I decided that I would go up and say hi to her, like... what was wrong with it anyways? She was around about 15 and I was 17 at this time, so I didn't see how age would be a problem, but disregarding this, she didn't seem hostile at all, and as soon as she took her headphones out and put the apple down once I sat next to her, we had a pretty long talk, she talked to me about her life, philosophy, and attitude, no really. I then asked her one more question, as it was now around 6:00, sunset ahead and we've spent near 2 hours talking:

Jack- "Do you think that if there was a secret Utopia out there, where society was perfect and everybody was nice to each other, they'd tell us?"

Noelle- "Well.... I find the idea of a secret utopia to be interesting, but it seems a bit far-fetched to me. I tend to be a more grounded person and prefer to operate in the realm of the real and plausible. However, if one day I was presented with undeniable proof of a hidden utopia, I would certainly be open to considering its existence and its impact on the world we live in. In the meantime, I'll stick to more tangible topics and stick to what I can see and experience with my own eyes."

Jack- "Well, thankyou for putting up with my bullshit, at least."

Noelle- "Don't worry Jack, I know you never talked to me much until now but it's glad I got to know you more, realistically, and also, don't worry, because I'd NEVER get bored of you!"

And instead of going right to the Dark World, as Noelle put her phone away and headphones and half eaten apple in her lunch box with the napkin she had, she then walked off as I did too, and right before I went in my house, I ended up waving bye to her, and so did she, as she then went off to her home and I shut my apartment door. You know, she seems like the only sane resident in this craphole town, but as I disposed off some paper towels I was carrying, for whatever reason, into the garbage can and shut it, I then dusted my hands off and wondered: "Are there ever gonna people like her around me again that actually care about me? Probably not, I need to get as close with her as possible.", oh and fun fact, Noelle was friends with my two rivals, Susie and Kris, and no, I didn't like them, but I didn't care about that- I just wanted to be around Noelle more, she made me feel things and that's all that matters. Screw what the rest think, maybe we'll meet again, and if we do, I'm gonna go to the Dark World with her, and protect her, because that's all that matters. But then, I decided I need to make myself a sword, so I knew something would help.. then I thought of it, by the end of the night, around 10 PM, I had myself a fully functional wooden sword. Sure, it needed some work, but it could do damage, Risk came home just to walk in on me in my room, staring at the sword.

Risk- "You finally crafted yourself a weapon? Hm, looks basic, and it needs to be better, but it's still pretty low quality, such a shame you didn't listen to my tips."

Jack- ..... "you don't even get it, Risk, hhhhhhhh-"
