Chapter 181: Leaving

-SATURDAY, DECEMBER 16TH, 2023-
So, today was the day.... after we saw many military tanks driving through our town and our country's land, or the entire world's in fact, being divided up by the 100M remaining survivors on our planet due to everyone wanting power, we had to go. It was cold, damp, and foggy outside in the night and the snow was still drying up. We had to get going as soon as possible, as the weather would ONLY get worse as the winter season for the end of this year AND the beginning of next year approaches in the next 3 days. It was about 41 degrees outside in the night. We had to make our move and leave so we left, thankfully the tanks got out of our way too and drove right past us, exiting Hometown to head up North not even noticing us. Our journey to New Mexico, on foot, would be easy, we hoped.......
