Chapter 37: Emergency In The Dark World, Akahiro

-SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12TH, 2023.-

So you know, it was a normal 3 PM Sunday, I was just playing League on my computer while listening to Odetari tracks in the background, until I got an emergency text from Aka, as my heart started racing, she told me to come to the Dark World ASAP, so I just quickly took my headphones off, getting up from my chair as Risk was sleeping on the couch again after working all night last night like I did, I only ate some corn flakes for breakfast 4 hours ago today and was pretty hungry, but food could wait, I needed to be there for her. As I dashed out of my room, leaving my computer and game on while Risk was asleep and my mostly empty water bottle on there with the cap up next to an empty one with the cap on on my desk next to a napkin, I quickly rushed out the door, slamming it behind me as I ran out into the cold 28 degree weather with the snow SLIGHTLY melted but only a bit, as I then dashed all the way to the school, unlocked doors as always despite it being a weekend, and then I ran into the doors, and I was on the cliffs, now in the Dark World, I saw a bunch of bright cyan and purple colored bolts of lightning with a portal open off the edge of the cliffs as I got there, and assuming Akahiro was in there, I went in through the portal, as I was surprised the DW had cell service for her to send that message to me- BUT THAT WAS NOT THE POINT.

So, after that, as I saw where we were in front of the still open portal, also having the bolts around it too, it looked like a sky, rapidly changing colors like our Earth, but it was changing themes every second, and the sky was even changing to unnatural colors too, it was so confusing, and as I looked at the fast moving sky, it was giving me nausea, so instead I redirected my attention who was sitting on the edge above a cliff of the endless black sea of dark abyss, as she was glitching, going crazy and about to disappear, I tried calling out to her.

Jack- "Aka! Akahiro please tell me what's going on?!?!?!?!"

Akahiro- *glitches* "J- *GLITCH* Jack!" she would then drop the heart locket I passed down to Ralsei that he gave to her that originally owned, and I would put it over me, wearing it once more. "J- *glitch* ju- *more glitching* take it! You deserve it more than I do!"

As I tried to comfort her as she was having her "episode" by putting my right hand on her shoulder, she got back on the ground slapping me while looking at me in her still glitching, sitting position as her red hand mark was on my face, and I had tears run down my face, REAL tears, as it was sad to see her go, and before I walked through the portal, she had a tear run down her face from her left eye as well through the frames of her glasses, as her entire self just completely disappeared and I saw her soul shatter, as I took the locket off, opening it up and collecting her HUMAN SOUL with it, as the locket then glowed as it shut, and I put it back on me, as when I went through the portal, for some reason it took me back to the light world instantly and I fell out onto the ground. Even stranger, only an hour has passed since I left for the Dark World unlike the HOURS that usually pass due to how fast time goes by in there compared to our world. I checked the time as I fell onto the snowy pavement of the school's driveway.... only 5 PM........ I put my phone away and walked off pocketing it, still softly crying, I can't believe I just lost a friend, I kept crying as I walked home, if Risk woke up, how would I even explain it to him........ I probably just wouldn't, wow.
