Chapter 18: The Akahiro Phone Call

-TUESDAY, JANUARY 24TH, 2023.-

It was Tuesday night. I had just gotten home from school, my shoes kicked off and my backpack tossed aside. After a quick dinner with Risk, I retreated to my room and flopped onto my bed. Scrolling through my phone, I pulled up Akahiro's contact information. We had exchanged numbers earlier that day, and now seemed like the perfect time for a call. With a deep breath, I tapped the call button and waited for her to answer, and then, she finally did.

Akahiro- "Hey, Jack!"

Jack- "Hey, Akahiro, what's up?"

Then, after this we chit-chatted for about another 5 minutes, talking about the usual stuff. School, homework, and our weird teachers filled the conversation.

Akahiro- "Can you believe Ms. Alphys is assigning another essay?"

Jack- I groaned, rolling my eyes. "I swear, she lives for our misery."

Akahiro- "Yeah.... haha.... so uh, question?"

Jack- "Yes?"

Akahiro- "Have you ever heard of Gaster?"

Then... my heart dropped and I gasped. It turns out Akahiro was a Dark World explorer like me, Risk, and many others in the school were.... and she knows exactly who HE is, and probably what happened to me too........ I had no words.
