Chapter 41: John Returns

-THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16TH, 2023.-
Missing person reports are becoming quite common in town lately with all kids who go the K-12 Hometowm School (mainly because of me of course). This all happened within less than a month, first it was Berdly, then Akahiro, who died in the Dark World but those who knew didn't tell anyone because if the world found out about the DW and that the "Darkeners" were actually from the Dark World and not just regular humans/monster's blending in with the town, per-Ralsei and Gaster's agreement that the Dark World peoples can share their worlds with the lighteners as long as NOBODY in the general lightener public actually finds out about the Dark World, again per Gaster and Ralsei's agreement where the darkeners from the DW in the LW would "blend-in" to keep it all "preserved", and of course after that Davonte went "missing" because of me, making 2/3 of these cases my fault and probably all of them as well, I had to stay on high alert. Thankfully the police weren't at school and instead searching for Davonte all around town and even in Hometown North a bit to see if he may have gone there too, since he is a human after all. Eitherway, I still stayed on high alert and make sure no random people looked at me or stared at me for too long while at school, and I stayed away from the rest of the students including my friends for the duration of the day all the way up until school ended, to where things went normal as I left the classroom and decided to head to the Dark World to escape with no cops or nothing questioning me, especially that measily "Private Investigator" wannabe cop named Douglas coming after me the whole day thus far, thank goodness for that. As the school cleared, and I looked around glad no one was there so I can go in, I then felt a tap on my shoulder, I quickly flinched and turned around, it was Susie, she was there, and I had no idea why because everyone else left and although she knows what the Dark World is I wouldn't expect her to go today. I stared at her awkwardly, exclaiming she scared me as she just stood there and then begin to talk, looking at me and sounding nonchalant about the entire moment as she then shrugged and said her piece to me.

Susie- "Hey Jack... been acting strange today huh? You hiding or something man?"

Jack- "Hhhhhh- Susie, I don't have time for this okay?"

Susie- "Oh I'm not fighting you buddy, trust me, I would've already kicked you to the ground by now and ripped you to pieces if I wanted to, I just saw you going to the Dark World too, was wondering if I could join to ease the "bad blood" between us per-say."

Jack- "Well, you are never this nice I guess, but I'll take your word for it, anyways I-"

Then, before I could finish my sentence, John busted through the school doors, finally returning after being gone for so long, walking up to me and shouting my name.

John- "Hey Jack!!!! What's good!!!!! Anyways I've been gone for a bit because I've just been doing some stuff, haha, but uh yeah.... oh!- We're going into the Dark World? Well cmon let's all go together!!!!!!!"

Then, after that, me and Susie just shrugged as we all walked inside, and went through the Dark closet going into the world as usual, adventure being head, exciting or boring as usual, we were going to see what we had tonight.............
