"You not even letting me explain" ja'rod said following destiny outside of his mother's house.
Destiny scoffed, "ja'rod please"
"Nah man" he grabbed her wrist making her turn around and face him.
"Ja'rod let me go"
"Nah cause you not listening ta' me—lemme explain"
"Ja'rod" she spoke causing him to let her wrist go.
Destiny turned around and quickly walked away. Ja'rod smacked his teeth, following her.
"Destiny"
"Ja'rod why would you keep this from me?"
"Cause I knew you was gon' react like this" he reasoned.
"That's not a fucking reason" she shook her head, "you should've told me—regardless"
*earlier*
"I'm outside mama" ja'rod spoke into his phone making Destiny smile and walk outside to his car.
Monica was having another get together and told ja'rod to invite Destiny again. Destiny was happily going to come.
"Hey baby" she said kissing his lips.
"Waddup" he mumbled as he opened the door for her.
"So I need to stop at the store because I need to get some sodas" she said as he started up the car.
"Why you gettin' soda?" He asked speeding off.
"Because I want to bring some for the party"
"She said you'on gotta bring nothing"
"I know what she said, i want to bring it"
"I'm not taking you to no store des"
"Why" she asked with an attitude.
"Cause I'm not"
She smacked her teeth before getting on her phone. Ja'rod looked at the side of her face before reaching over and grabbing her chin.
"Drop the fuckin' attitude, she got soda"
Destiny huffed out, "I know—I feel weird not bringing anything"
"She'a be igh" he let her face go.
"Please, I just want to buy one thing"
10 minutes later
"Why'd you bring soda? I have soda" Monica said watching her son carry in a case of sprite.
"She wanted ta' get it" he spoke referring to destiny who walked in behind him.
"Hey Ms.monica" she waved.
"Hey girl" Monica hugged Destiny, "you know you don't have to call me Ms"
"I know, I can't help it"
"I told you didn't have to bring anything"
