Ja'rod woke up seeing a sleeping destiny on the other side of his bed. He got out of the bed before walking into his bathroom and hopping into the shower.
While he washed himself, his mud began to drift off to what happened the previous night. He regretted it but also he didn't. He honestly didn't know how to feel about the situation.
*15 minutes later*
Ja'rod walked out of the bathroom, a black towel around his waist. Destiny rolled over and faced ja'rod's closet. She rubbed her eyes, clearing her vision, seeing ja'rod's back facing towards her as he grabbed some clothes.
"Good morning" her raspy voice sounded, causing ja'rod look at her and walk out the closet.
Destiny bit her lip as she saw his print through the towel.
"Mornin'" he mumbled dropping the towel and sliding on his boxers. Destiny furrowed her eyebrows as she watched him get dressed.
"Where are you going?"
"Ta' get Kaiser" he spoke, grabbing his deodorant, and swiping it under his arm.
"Okay" she said standing, walking to the bathroom, "you gonna be gone long?"
"Depends"
Her elbow sat on her knee as she looked up with her hand placed her cheek, looking at his appearance.
"You look good"
"Thanks" he mumbled, slipping his belt through the loops of his jeans.
"Why are you being short?" She asked as be began to wash her hands.
"It's too early fa' this destiny—why you even still here?"
Destiny was taken back by his words, "you know why I'm here ja'rod"
"Nah actually I don't" he said looking into her eyes, "all I know is that you came here drunk on some bullshit and we fucked—"he paused before raising his arms and letting them fall, smacking onto his thighs.
"it was nothing more Destiny"
Tears began to Pool in Destiny's eyes as she walked towards the man, "ja'rod I meant every word I said last night, I love you—we belong together"
"You say that shit now but in two weeks you gon' be tweaking the fuck out over dumb shit"
Destiny shook her head, "no i-I won't—I'll do better, I just need to you to be with me and stay with me"
"Destiny I don't have time fa' this shit, I'm a grown ass man, I got a son ta' take care of—I'm not finna take care of you too"
"No ja'rod, I'll show you that you can trust me"
Ja'rod grabs his phone and wallet before speaking, "I gotta go man"
Destiny nodded before wiping her tears, "okay" she softly spoke, "I love you"
"Yea" he said before leaving out.
