"My bed" I spoke flopping onto my bed, "my true love, I missed you"
"Yo' true love?" Ja'rod repeated.
"Yes this my baby right here" I said kicking my shoes off.
We just got back from Turks and Caicos and everyone went home. Except for ja'rod he came here.
"Are you going home?" I asked standing up.
"Later—ima go ta' sleep then ima go get Kaiser and go ta' my momma house"
"I'm hungry" I said walking to my kitchen.
I grabbed two tortilla wraps, mayonnaise, turkey and cheese. I began making my rolled up sandwich's.
"Baby do you want a sandwich?" I asked ja'rod.
"Yea" he said lowly walking into the kitchen with just his sweatpants on.
I handed him one of the roll ups and he looked at it weird.
"This da' sandwich?"
"Mhm" I took a bite, "I call it my edible roll ups"
"You a fuckin' feein" he laughed.
I watched as he took a bite and began nodding his head, "shit fye"
We quickly ate and went back to my room.
"Our airport fits go hard" I said taking my clothes off as well.
"They bout ta' hit harder on da' floor" he spoke climbing into my bed.
We lay facing each other in silence. I closed my eyes as he began rubbing my butt.
"You know ion care whatchu wear mama, right?"
"I know"
His fingers traveled up and down my spine making chills appear each time. I felt his even breaths hitting my neck giving me peace and security.
I scooted closer to his body, putting my ear on his chest. My body relaxed as I heart his heart beat.

Ja'rod Lewis
I woke up to destiny stretched out across me with her mouth open. Her braids were covering her face.
I gently moved from under her and began to put on my clothes. I saw her moving around but continued to do what I was doing.
"You leaving?" Her voice sounded. I looked up at her seeing she was sitting up and staring at me.
"Yea but I'm see you tomorrow mama" I kissed her lips.
"Alright, be safe and tell your mom I said hi" she laid back down.
"I will—come lock this door behind me girl" I said walking out the door. I stood there until she appeared.
"These lil ass shorts, gimme my kiss"
She stood on her tippy toes and pecked my lips three times.
"Bye ja'rod, please be safe"
"Ima handle whatever life throws at me—lock dis door" i said walking down the hallway.
I get inside my car and speed off to Makayla's house. I get there in less than fifteen minutes.
I knocked on the door and waited until she answered.
"Hey—oh, you're back" she rolled before walking into the house.
"Can I get Kaiser tomorrow?" I walked into her house.
"It's my night and not that it matters it's been my night for a week now"
I smacked my lips, "this gon' be a problem?"
"Yes actually" she chuckled, "you the one who came up with this bullshit arrangement and you don't wanna stick with it"
"Man I told you about the trip two days before I went, you said it was cool"
"Okay so if I told you about a trip two days prior to it, would you have a problem?" She asked like she knew the answer.
"Nah I wouldn't—I wouldn't have a problem wit' keeping my son fa' a few extra days"
She smacked her teeth, "oh forreal?"
"Yea forreal" I pinched the top of my nose before speaking, "look I ain't tryna argue, can I get him or not"
"Yea—he's over my fathers house right now, I'll drop him off to you tomorrow"
"Igh that's all I wanted" I spoke before walking out and getting in my car.

Destiny rolled to the side of her bed when she heard her phone ringing. She answered it without looking.
"Hello" her groggy voice sounded.
"You still sleepin' mama?" Ja'rod asked.
"Mhm" she hummed with closed eyes.
"You been slump since ten"
"What time is it?" She whispered.
"Eight at night"
"I think I'm jet lagged or something"
"You eat?"
"Not since earlier—when we ate"
Ja'rod smacked his teeth, "that lil ass sandwich—go eat"
"I'll eat later I'm tired"
"Destiny"
"Leave me alone and let me sleep" she mumbled with attitude.
"Who's that?" Destiny heard in the background.
"Destiny" he replied to the voice.
"Heyyy daughter in law!!!" Monica yelled.
"Hey Ms Monica"
"Yall good again?" Monica asked her son.
"Yea"
"Baby ima call you tomorrow" Destiny said with irritation in her voice. She was tired and wanted to go back for sleep but couldn't due to the noise ja'rod was making.
"Nah"
"What you mean no?"
"I mean no, I'm bout ta' go ta' sleep"
Destiny sighed, "ja'rod I'm tired, I don't feel like talking"
"So don't talk, go ta' sleep" he said.
Destiny closed her eyes and went right back to sleep. It didn't take her long since she was so exhausted.
