"Hey dad" Destiny spoke to her father through the glass.
"Wassup babygirl, you haven't been here inna minute, I misseded you" Marcus spoke with a small smile.
"Yea I know and I'm sorry, it's been a lot going on in my life" she hugged out.
"Tell me about it baby girl"
"Well I'm always busy with work and school, I've been watching surgeries and taking notes" she smiled but it soon fell, "and my boyfriend got shot"
"Is he alive?"
"Yea, yea he's alive" she felt herself getting emotional about the situation, "but he could've died if the bullet moved over a inch"
"Well he didn't die so let's look at the bright side of the situation, yea?" Marcus reassured his daughter.
"Yea you're right, that's what mom said"
"How is your mom?"
"Mom is doing okay, she started a book club and she does it every Saturday"
"And your brother?"
Destiny sighed before chuckling, "he has a baby on the way actually"
"What? My son has a child on the way? Him not you?" Marcus said making Destiny laugh.
"Correct, him not me"
"I would have never thought he would give me and your mother our first grandchild" Marcus shook his head.
"Well actually it might not be his, he's trying to get the girl to go to the doctor to get a dna test but she's been avoiding him"
"Well that's his answer right there—if she's avoiding him, then it's not his baby"
"I think he'll be fine if that's not his baby, he doesn't really like the girl anyways" Destiny shrugged, "I have to go now"
"Where you goin'?"
"To my boyfriend's physical therapy appointment, he wanted me to come today" Destiny responded.
"When am I gon' meet this boy that's making my daughter so happy?" Marcus asked.
"When you get out" she joked causing Marcus to laugh.
"You playing now" he chuckled, "alright now, I'll see you later, I love you"
"I love you too"
"Tell your brother and mother to come see me"
"I will"
Destiny hung up the phone and walked out of the prison. She finally had time to go see her father and get her hair done. She a got burgundy bone straight lace front.
"Hey siri" Destiny spoke out loud once she got into the car and began driving.
"Yes?"
