"I heard you and that girl broke up" Makayla spoke as she packed Kaiser's bag.
It was ja'rod's day but he had to work so he was picking up Kaiser and dropping him off at Monica's.
"Mind yo' business" he said shortly before picking up Kaiser.
Makayla scoffed, "I was just checking on you"
Ja'rod ignored her response. He hadn't heard from Destiny since the eighteen and that was a week ago. He was fine...so he said but everyone could see that he really wasn't.
"He got a lil cough so I put some medicine in there" she told him before kissing Kaiser's head, "mommy's gonna miss you"
Ja'rod let her say her goodbyes before walking out the apartment and going to his car.
"I gotta work so you gon' be at grandma house fa' a few hours" ja'rod said to his son as he strapped him in.
He threw the bag in the backseat before speeding towards his mother's house.
As ja'rod drove he began to drown in his thoughts.
He wondered how destiny was doing, how she was processing everything.
Then again he didn't care, he was angry at her. He was angry because she didn't let him explain why he didn't tell her. He was angry because she left.
He was angry at himself because he waited to long to tell her the truth about him.
He wondered if she thought he was a bad person. He wasn't a bad person, he just does bad things.
He just needed to show her.
He pulled up to his mother's house and got Kaiser out of the car. He walked to her door before opening it causing him to smack his teeth.
"I keep tellin' you ta' lock da' door, why you'on listen" he said to his mother as she sat in the living room.
"Cause it's my damn life and my house"
"It's gon' be yo' life when somebody you'on know walk in this bitch" he replied laying Kaiser in the couch.
"Unt unt nigga take my baby upstairs to sleep" Monica stated.
Ja'rod picked Kaiser up and took him upstairs. He laid him in the middle of his room and boarded him with pillows. He walked back down the steps and sat on the couch.
He pulled out his phone getting on instagram.
"You talked to Destiny yet?" Monica asked.
"Nah"
He searched up destiny's name and clicked on her account. He viewed her story to see what she was doing.
He never had instagram but the fact that he couldn't see what Destiny was doing was driving him crazy so he downloaded to stalk her.
"Are you okay?"
"Yea"
"Are you going to reach out?" She asked making him groan out of irritation.
