~Alex's POV~

I decided a few minutes ago that I'd like to sleep over with the other girls in Kat's room. However, I've been sitting on my bed with my e-handbook in hand, the screen already being dirtied by my tears. I've tapped my eyes countless times in an attempt to leave my makeup alone. I.. I took way too long on my eyeliner this morning.

Eventually, I muster up my courage, clean up my tears, and leave my room with my e-handbook. There's not a single sound from the halls, not even slight shuffles from the other rooms in this hall. I turn my head to the left and look for a brunette pixelated figure.

Once I spot it, I silently roll on my feet— heel to toes— up to the door and knock gently. The sound of shuffling can be heard from the other side of the door before it opens. I'm greeted by Kat's stern expression, which quickly softens at the sight of me.

I softly smile at her. "Am I the last one?"

"Yeah," She replies with a chuckle. "We were wondering if you'd show up."

Kat moves to the side to allow me to enter. I step over the threshold and into the room. Kat closes the door behind me as I sit down on the carpet beside Charli. Observing the room, I realize that Kat's room differs greatly from mine.

The walls are a pastel purple with shelves with different sports balls on display, I can see her signature on a few of them. There are different baseball bats, rackets, and other sport-like equipment. Her bed is pushed against the wall with her desk right beside it, acting as a nightstand. I can't get into much detail, I'll doodle it out later, but the vibe in this room is pleasing... It's helping my nerves at least.

Kat crosses to her bed and sits on the edge of it. Erza's sitting at Kat's desk, scrolling through her e-handbook. The quiet's comforting... It's comforting to know that I'm not alone. I... can feel it deep in my heart that the thought of hurting someone wouldn't even cross their mind. Especially Charli with the way she reacted to Moon earlier. I chuckle to myself at the thought.

After spending some time in the silence unwinding, we slowly start a conversation. We talk about our talents, what we do, and how we earned our titles before our ultimate ones. I never knew I could learn some much about people in less than three hours. I've learned that Kat's already been offered scholarships for college, I've learned that Erza has already had more than one hundred customers before this year, and Charli's participated in multiple high-ranked figure skating competitions and won! I've never met these girls in my life and I can't feel more proud of them.

After some time of talking, we slowly begin to fall asleep one by one. I'm the last one to fall asleep. Before my eyelids give out on me, I trace a crack in the shape of a lightning bolt on the ceiling. My eyes flicker... Then I'm submerged in darkness.

The next morning is nothing more than uncertainty and tension. We're abruptly woken up by the blaring of the television in the room.

A loud sound blares from the television, "Ding Dong, Bing Bong!" I groan, groggily sit up, and stare at the TV. Hope's Peak Academy's logo appears for a moment before Monokuma appears with a glass in hand. "Good Morning, everyone! It is now 7 A. M. and nighttime is officially over! Time to rise and shine! Get ready to greet a beautiful day!"
