Chapter 3: Truths In The Dark Come to The Light

~Alex's POV~

When we stepped inside the hospital, it looked different from when Jade, Levi, and I had found it. All the lights are on, illuminating and outlining the waiting room and reception desk in front of us. I see the two doors, the one on the left leading to the strange rooms with strange numbers, and the other with all of the medical equipment. Various posters are plastered on the walls with different things related to medical sciences... Science.

"I remember this place," Skye states in a bright voice. "This is where you, Levi, and Jade found me, right?"

I nod, walking up to the reception desk. On top of the desk, there's a letter. I briefly read it over and realized who it was for. I can't help but sigh.

"The equipment and stuff are prepared for you here. Have fun :D

- Facility (And Headmaster)"

Skye picks up the letter and reads it over before slowly placing it back down. Before anyone says anything, she quickly suggests that we find a room for Jaxx to stay in while we find the stuff he needs. We don't pry any further. 

"I'll take him," Sora offers, walking up to Jaxx and linking his arm around the crook of his elbow. 

Jaxx smiles down at him. "Is that really necessary?"

Sora scoffs, "Well, duh. You're not trustworthy yet, remember? You went coo-coo during the trial."

"Right, right," Jaxx says breathlessly. 

Together, Jaxx and Sora head down the hallway with the strange numbers. That leaves Skye, Candi, and me standing in the waiting room, lobby... Whatever I'd like to call it. We stand idly for a moment before splitting up and exploring for anything that can help with Jaxx's injuries.

Wandering around the main floor, I soon noticed that there's a second floor. I glance back at Candi and Skye before climbing the steps. A frigid breeze blows through the staircase, I shiver in response. I clasp my hands on my arms and hug myself tightly. I push through the door at the top of the steps and am greeted with an entirely different vibe from downstairs. 

My heels echo through the hall while I walk. There's something strange about up here. The vibe's completely different, however, it isn't the fact that it's deserted up here. It's just... The slightly flickering lights and the echoing water droplets in hidden corners give me an eerie vibe. Maybe a lab's up here for someone who isn't with us anymore... Damn.

The eerieness of this building and further doesn't stop as I continue down the hallway. Then, my feet plan themselves beside a door. It's a bright green door with a black doorknob. With little to no self-control left, my hand wraps around it, turns the knob, and pulls the door open. Inside is quite a strange sight.

Although it isn't a small room, it isn't quite as spacious either. There are counters against the walls except for the wall now behind me. On these counters are strange materials, beckons, jars, and vials. There's a microscope perched in the corner along with other mechanisms that I don't understand. This must've been what the note was talking about.

In the corner of my eye, I see that a counter has handles on the bottom of it. I kneel and pull the small doors open. The bright red first aid kit catches my eye. I grab it and quickly rush out of the room. However, I almost bump into someone on the way and scream. My hand clasps onto my mouth.
