~Alex's POV~
The mattress underneath caves in and out continuously. I rub my eyes as I slightly lift up and down from the bed with each jump. My amber eyes almost shoot open in fear, then I remember that someone else is here. I can't let them know... However, I've had another nightmare although it wasn't as bad as the night prior—... Is it already night?
I look at whatever's emanating from the leaps of my mattress. My eyelids eclipse my eyes, sending a glare toward the familiar rockstar who's hopping repeatedly on the end of the bed.
"Get up, Blondie," He breathes. "Levi has something to tell us. He wants to take you out on a date—"
Almost instantly, Levi appears in the doorway. He hisses through his teeth, "That is not what I told you to tell her."
Zach stops and his eyes widen slightly. "Wait, you want to take her out? There's a spot in the teacher's lounge—"
"No, Idiot." Levi leans against the doorway, his face highlighted by the moonlight shining through the window. "Alex, are you alright?"
I stare blankly at him for a moment before nodding. The sheets follow as I drag myself up from the bed and stand up, stretching. My attention refocuses on Levi. He asks if we'll be able to meet in the hallway where all of the patients are currently residing. The mysterious, "intimidating" guy leaves without waiting for our responses and Zach jumps down from the bed and follows out after him.
Low buzzing lingers in the dimly lit room, I don't move from my spot. I feel dizzy, however, I can tell that it isn't the sickness spreading around the town. Perhaps it's something else... No, it's something else. My brother's here in the hospital, but Monokuma hasn't come by to inform me about how he's doing or if he's still... I don't have time to be worrying about that right now. I do. I certainly do, however, I cannot let it consume my attention right now. I'm already trailing behind.
Without another moment to waste, I exit the room and make haste down the hallway. I cross the reception desk and enter the hospital room corridor. Levi and Zach are intently inspecting a label on a door at the end of the hallway. I approach them and notice the label myself.
"See it?" Levi asks, pointing at the label.
I nod, inching closer toward the door. When we first found Skye, this door was labeled "12-1-21-7-8". However, now it's completely different. It reads: "19-12-5-5-16-25".
"I see... Why's it like that now?" I ask, my nose wrinkling.
Zach glances between Levi and me. "The hell do you mean? You've seen it before?"
I shake my head and answer, "No. It was just a different number combination before."
"I still haven't thought of what it means," Levi adds, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "It doesn't make any sense."
Recalling the day we had all arrived here, my attention shifts to the door to my left. The number sequence is still the same. I remember it vividly since it was the room where Jade, Levi, and I met Skye. She was so cheery and excited to see us, I'm sure she and Jade had gotten along almost immediately... Wait a minute.
