Vacation Disaster 🍏

Summary: The family go on a vacation, but what will happen when Matt has an anxiety flare up leading to one of his worser panic attack during the night.

Everything was supposed to go fine...

It was meant to be a nice family vacation, a time for us all to relax as a family and forget about youtube for a week.

At least it was meant to be.

Chris's POV

I had first noticed it when we had landed, Matt was being awfully fidgety and i know what your thinking thats just one of his nervous fidget sort of things but he seemed almost alarmed. Then it was when we had found our cabin we were staying in, he always seemed to be alert and would give me and Nick dry responses.

But then what really got me worried was when we were all watching a movie together as a family and he left abruptly to 'Go to sleep'.

"M tired gonna sleep"

I hear Matt mumble as he creeps stealthily into our shared room leaving a disappointed look on mums face.

I look over at Nick to see a familiar look shared of my own, his eyebrows are screwed tightly meeting in the middle of his forehead expressing a look of concern.

"Is that kid alright?"

He chuckles trying to laugh it off as he rolls his eyes playfully as if sensing the worry flowing around the room and attempting to comfort everyone.

"I hope." Mum replies sighing as we all avert our attention back to the film choosing not to worry about the sudden actions of the boy and deciding he was probably just tired.

Time Skip Film Over.

The film had ended and Mum and Dad had gotten themselves into bed so me and Nick decided on doing the same but just as we enter the room surprisingly Matt is asleep and in-fact looks quite okay actually.

"See told you Chris, No need to worry at all he's probably just having an on and off type of day... you know how Matt can be." Nick smiles reassuringly as he sends a light slap to my shoulder as if to reassure me some more.

I smile softly in response as i nod, Maybe i was worrying for no reason at all... Matt is fine.

We both fell asleep after that but then i was woken up by what sounded like sobs.

I open my eyes squinting them as i try to readjust them to the new lighting.

"Matt?" I gasp standing up quickly as i rush over to the boy in hysterics?

He looks so vulnerable and nervous, His eyes are red blood shot and splurgy, his cheeks are stained with tears and his hair is sticking up in all sorts of directions,most of which stuck to his sweaty forehead.

"Want t-to go h-home" He sobs as i pull him to my chest, the poor boy sounds so distressed, i knew Matt wasn't to fond of big change but i didn't think a vacation would affect him this much, but i guess it did.

"Hey, Calm down. I know okay we are going home soon yeah?" I mutter in a hushed voice as i smooth my palm along his back trying to calm his shaking, I've never seen him in this much of a state before his hands are shaking and he can barely speak without hiccuping or sobbing in-between words.

"No n-no it's another s-six days" he sobs as i see him try to squeeze his eyes closed desperately.

"Yeah but we will make it fun okay just stop worrying hun." I sigh as i feel his head lean into my shoulder his shaky and uneven breathing blowing onto it.

"C-Cant Breathe" He hiccups a whimper leaving his mouth making my heart break,

"Whats going on..." i hear Nick groan joining us on the edge of the bed.

"Matt wants to go home" i whisper in response still holding the much smaller boy close to my chest as if trying to protect him from the world.

"Oh Matty boy.. Is that all you were stressing about today eh?" Nick smiles rubbing Matts still shaking leg in which Matt replies with a nod followed by another hiccup.

"Cmon just breathe Matty everything is gonna be fine we will go home soon and you can see trevor and Justin and we will have them presents and you can give them both them, How would you like that eh?" I whisper watching as a small smile forms on Matts lips followed by a silent nod.

I notice his body language again, he seems to be relaxing a-lot more now. His hands are only shaking slightly and his hiccups have completely disappeared.

"Yeah, Thats a good idea Chris." Nick smiles as he hands Matt his favourite teddy he has had since he was a child.

"Y-You're giving me him..?" Matt whispers clinging the plush close to his chest.

"Yep i am!" Nick chuckles.

"He will keep you company when Me and Chris are asleep" he continues standing up.

I Smile at the thought as i stand up myself grabbing some cards.

"WHO WANTS TO PLAY GO FISH?!" I Grin sheepishly as i plummet back down onto the bed every one of us erupting into a fit of laughter.

Matt was fine.

Hellooo, oh my god it feels like I haven't written in literal decades and honestly I'm so happy to be back :) right so first things first I feel like yous all deserve a massive apology, I left for way to long and if I'm being honest i don't even know why i did, i guess i got too caught up with school and GCSES as-well as revision I had no time for anything else but im so sorry. Anyways I hope this one was okay i haven't written in a while so if its bad im honestly really sorry ill try improve but honestly thank you so much I appreciate everyone of you so much and the kind messages people have been dropping in really outweigh the negatives by a-lot so thank you 💕 :) also I was so shocked to come back and see how many people have viewed my story its honestly terrifying and kills me a little bit inside at how many of yous i just abandoned but i promise im back fr this time. Anyways I'll see everyone in a few days stay safe and well!
