"Why you here?"

Everyone in the prison gathers together. Rick and Hershel had hung back for a few moments to discuss a few things. As for myself and Glenn, we were getting cleaned up by the others. We've got new people. Four survivors. Three men, one woman. They seem okay, but we'll be speaking with them later.

I was shocked to see Carol alive. We embraced in a tight hug. I was relieved, happy to see her alive and well. She explained she was running from walkers. T had thrown himself at walkers in order to give her a chance to escape. She ran into more walkers and soon hid behind a door. She was weak, dehydrated, but she was alive. Daryl found her, brought her back. That's when Michonne showed up.

Being reunited with Jack was everything. He was relieved and happy to see me again, as I felt the same. But I still worried and feared for us all if the Governor comes to the prison and tries killing us all. But we'll figure it all out. Like Daryl said, we always figure it out.

Carol, Maggie, Jack and I stood together by the gate of the cell block. Rick and Hershel make their way towards us, and we fall silent.

"What now?" Beth fills the silence as she marches across the floor with the baby in her arms. "You think the Governor will retaliate?"

"Yes." I answer.

"Let him try." Glenn nods his head.

"Sounds like he's got a whole town." Carol says. I bring my arms up, wrapping myself up. "We're out numbered and outgunned."

"We could use some reinforcements." Hershel suggests. I raise my brows. Rick turns to Hershel, holding a stare with him. He doesn't say a word. But I could tell Rick didn't seem like he was really in the mood to be introducing himself to new people.

Nonetheless, we all move out to the dining area of the cell block. The four new people all stood up. Their eyes are hopeful. Look like they've been through hell and hope Rick doesn't turn them away. I hope he doesn't. Hershel's right. We could use some reinforcements.  Rick is the first to approach the large, built man with a beanie on. He holds his hand out for introduction.

"I'm Tyreese." He greets. But Rick doesn't even bother shaking his hand.

"Sasha, Allen, Ben." Hershel points to three others standing behind Tyreese.

"How'd you get in?" Rick asks.

"Fire damage to the administrative part of the prison. Wall's down." Tyreese explains.

"That side's completely overrun with walkers." Rick shakes his head. "How'd you get this far?"

"We didn't. We lost our friend Donna." Tyreese explains.

"They were lost in the gyms." Carl adds.

"And you brought 'em here?" Rick raises his voice, echoing off the walls.

"He had no choice." Hershel defends. Rick turns back to the group.

"I'm sorry about your friend." He says softly. "We know what that's like."

"Hershel said you could use some extra hands." Tyreese begins. "We're no stranger to hard work. We'll go out and get our own food, stay out of your hair. You got a problem with another group, we'll help with that, too. Anything to contribute." Tyreese's work is solid. He knows what to say on how to convince us to let him in the group. Shit, he sold me on it. I'm getting good vibes from him. Sasha, too, even though she hasn't said much. But they look innocent enough. Thomas and Andrew, they were trouble from the start. But this group here, there's no alarm bells ringing in the back of my head. Which is why I was disappointed when Rick finally spoke up.
