Vicky POV:
(26th April 2021)I step into the recording booth, the soft glow of the studio lights envelops me. Dan, my producer, sits behind the mixing desk, his eyes focused intently on the computer screen. I take a deep breath, feeling the familiar rush of adrenaline as I prepare to lay down the vocals for the chorus of my upcoming song.
Dan's voice crackles over the intercom, his gentle tone cutting through the silence of the studio. "Let's try another take on the chorus," he suggests, his words filled with encouragement and support. I nod in agreement, a small smile playing at the corners of my lips.
I am currently in the studio recording the next few tracks for my upcoming album 'over'. Over the past week, I have been working in my songwriting, and I am grateful for the support from everyone who helped me loose my writers block or when I lost my track of time. It's been a while since I last shared any updates, but I'm excited to go live today to announce that I'm currently working on new music.
Maybe I should post a sneak peek right now?I grab my phone and snap a messy photo, studying it briefly for a short time before posting it on my Instagram story.

"Are you ready?" Dan's voice crackles through the microphone, anticipation evident in his tone. I meet his gaze and offer a confident nod in response. With a subtle smile, he begins to count down, his fingers moving in sync with the numbers. As the countdown is over, the music starts playing.
I take a brief moment to close my eyes, allowing the initial notes to envelop me. The familiar sound of my pre-recorded blending effortlessly in the mix. With a deep inhale, I ready myself for my cue. As the music come to the chorus, I begin to sing the powerful chorus once more, my voice filled with a slight rasp.
Don't just stand there staring, honey
Try to move your feet
If you think they're looking at you
They're looking at me
I could make it nice and easy
I'ma take the lead
They ain't even looking at you, baby
They're looking at meI confidently deliver the chorus, and as Dan pauses the music, I step back and patiently await him to cue it up for me once more. Attentively listening, I nod in approval. "I love this, let's keep it!" I exclaim with a smile, receiving a nod of agreement from Dan. "Now, we need the second verse and the pre-chorus... Have you got your lyrics ready?" he asks, prompting me to swiftly scroll through my notes and affirm with a nod. "Absolutely, let's do this," I respond with a smile as Dan counts down once more, signaling the continue.
Yes, I'm young for a teacher, I'll teach you what you don't know
(I could teach you the things that you wanna know)
But I can't give it up all at once, you would overdose
Don't you bring any bull in the room tonight
It's a whole new rodeo
It could be you and me
But you know that I'll steal the show, oh (yeah)
