Not a burden

Vicky POV:
(30th April 2021)

"Look at her she's asleep" I laugh when I see Isabella propped up against our backpacks asleep. "Take a picture this is so good!" Mark chuckles and I quickly pull out my phone taking a picture of her before I bow down and whisper. "Hey Isabella... wake up we need to go" I say calm before slightly shaking her. She opens her eyes and I stand back up backing up to Nat. "Bitch wake up!" Clara shouts and she groans. "Shut up!" she whines before finally standing up.

"Ok everyone here?" Nat asks and we all look around and nod before we all take our backpacks and continue our way now going downhill into the woods to the waterfall.

"How long do we still have to walk?" Clara asks and James looks at his phone. "It only should be about 30 minutes now" he says calmly and she nods, while walking I pull my backpack to my front and open it grabbing the waterbottle out of it and take a few sips to recover from the heat. We all changed out clothes when it got hotter after lunch and im now in my white tank top and hiking shorts over my workout shorts while Nat still has her T-shirt on but now has green cargo shorts.

"I swear if the view isn't worth the walk ill freak out because weve been walking for so long" I chuckle as I put the bottle back in my backpack and back on my back. "Yeah I was also actually thinking about that, only an hour away theres a city and technically we could hail a cab to bring us back to the campsite because im also not quite fond of the idea to walk another six hours back." Mark says and the others think as I turn to Nat who just shrugs.

"Isn't that like 2 hours with car back?" I ask and James nods. "Yeah about 2 hours so itll be expensive but if we all pay a part it should be good" he says and the others agree but I quickly cut them off. "Ill pay don't worry" I smile before I take back Nats hand and we continue our way down hearing the water get closer and closer by minute.

Wow. The waterfall is massive and beautiful. "Look at this... this was so worth it" Irmina says smiling and I nod while excitedly squeezing Nat hands who just chuckles shaking her head. "Pictures we need pictures!"I cheer and get out my phone to take pictures of the girls who are the only ones that want any even though Clara only wants to be in one picture so Clara, Isabella and Irmina have two together and the other one is just Isabella and Irmina. "Anyway else want pictures here?" I ask the group and they shake their heads.

I walk back to Nat and lean into her side. "I cant wait to post some pictures this evening and everyone going crazy of how we are together..." I whisper grinning up at her and she wraps her arms around me whispering "Me too" she smiles and gives me a quick kiss smiling into it and I melt at the feeling like every time.

"Aww cuties" Antonio aws and I turn to him slightly embarrassed when everyone is watching us. "Shut it" I tease and start walking ahead of everyone to the small town and everyone quickly rushed after me as I look back. "You're too slow" I tease and stop waiting and when they finally catch up I cling onto Nat the whole time we walk to town.

"Im tired" I whine and Nat chuckles turning around stopping. Were the last and im not even walking anymore im more likely dragging my feet. "It's only about 20 minutes love" she says calm smiling and I groan. "Do you want me to carry you?" she asks coming up to me and I hesitate. I do want her to carry me but what if im too heavy? I don't want her to carry me around when im heavy. What if her back hurst after that then it's my fault and im also carrying the backpack so she would have time to carry that too.

"Hey darling, what's going on in your head" she asks softly cupping my cheeks pressing a kiss to my forehead. "I don't want to be a burden" I mumble and she smiles softly. "You could never, I want to carry you and im not taking no for an answer so gimme the backpack" she says softly but stern and I slowly pull off the backpack and watch her as she puts it on her front and then turns her back to me waiting for me to jump on her back.

"Cmon jump up" she says and I smile softly before I jump on her back holding on tightly as I bury my head in her neck taking in her perfume closing my eyes. "Thank you" I whisper softly and cuddle into her before I relax against her, her touch sending a calming and safe presence through me.

Nat POV:

Vicky fell asleep on my back in only the 20 minutes that were left of walking and I hear her soft breaths right next to my ear which makes me smile. "You guys have serious relationship standards damn. Can I like steal your relationship?" Clara asks sarcastic and I chuckle. "Aw cmon youll find someone" I smile and she whines "Every girl or guy I date are literally complete idiots like seriously" she says slightly disappointed and I softly chuckle. "Sorry" I shrug and secure my hold onto Tori one more time.

"Hey baby wake up... we need to get in the cab" I softly whisper and I feel her shift on my back. "Ok ill let you down but ill hold you still so you won't fall" I softly explain so she'll not gonna panic and feel like she's falling as I carefully let her down on the ground holding onto her waist as support. "Ok guys cmon let's get in the cab!" James hurries us and everyone quickly gets in and I help sleepy Victoria get in next to me before I buckle her in and she immediately cuddles against me.

"Everyone here?" The cabbie asks and we all confirm before he starts to drive the way back to the campsite which was about an hour and a half away. I look down on Victoria and wrap my arms around her waist pulling her as close to me as the seatbelts allow it and Isabella on my left side in the back row was leaning against the window to sleep.

"I have a hoodie in my bag do you wanna lean against that?" I ask her softly not to startle her and she looks at me smiling before she nods. "Yeah that would be great.." she mumbles tiredly and I carefully let go of Victoria and open my backpack grabbing Victorias hoodie and handing it to her. "Thanks" she smiles and puts it against the window before she leans against it again and I smile wrapping my arms back around Victoria giving her a soft kiss on her hairline. "I love you" I whisper nuzzling into her hair and take in her shampoo before I sit up properly in the car again and just hold her close my right hand rubbing soft circles against her thigh.

im really sorry this is so short and ive been offline but i've literally been sick and have exam season so yeah lucky me💀 Ill try to maybe post once every two weeks or sum till exam season is over
