006. MORE OF A BRATZ DOLL THEN A BARBIE

Chapter six

"More of a Bratz doll then a Barbie."

The next morning, Diana woke up and when she did, she saw that the sun was coming in, and as she did, she remembered how she told Cam that she would try and meet him at the whale watching boat, but that didn't happen, as she huffed, laying back down on her bed, she rolled off of it, knowing she had to get ready for the day.

Having gotten changed, she was wearing a pair of jeans shorts and a light blue tank top, as her hair was in two space buns, she walked out of her room and down the stairs, heading through the hallway to the kitchen, seeing Conrad lying on the couch, she looked into the kitchen, seeing their mom along with Belly, Steven in there while Jeremiah was at the stove, where she had put makeup on before she came down covering the bruise she had gotten from last night "morning." she told them "good morning." Jeremiah told her.

As Diana walked up to the kitchen island, Jeremiah turned to her "uh, cereal?" he asked "yes, please." Diana told him, as Jeremiah chuckled, grabbing the box, he began pouring it into a bowl for her "oh my god!" Susannah voiced, as they all turned their attention to the hallway, seeing her walk in "Belly and Diana are gonna be debutantes." Susannah shared, laughing, Belly and Diana laughed as well, as Susannah walked up and hugged them both "it's really not that big of a deal." Belly shared "I'm sorry, like Belly and Diana? Like, my sisters? Like, those things right there?" Steven asked, pointing at them.

"Shut up, cretin." Belly and Diana told him, as Belly continued eating her cereal, Diana grabbed her's as she poured the milk into it "okay, this is going to be so much fun. Just you wait." Susannah shared, as Diana reached across the table for a spoon "there is, uh..there's the tea, the auction, the ball, of course, the rehearsal. I gotta write this down." Susannah shared, while Diana and Belly watched her as they ate their cereal, Susannah gasped "we need to go shopping." she shared "if you're gonna turn us into your dolls for the day. I am more of a Bratz doll then a Barbie." Diana shared, as Belly laughed, the two walked to sit at the table.

"This sounds..expensive." their mom shared "oh, don't worry, Laur. It's on me. It was my idea after all," Susannah shared as she sat down next to Laurel at the kitchen island "and we still need to style you for your book party, so.." she reminded her, as their mom turned to them "girls, are you sure you want to do this? It doesn't seem very you." she shared "it's not." Conrad shared from the couch, as they all looked to him "Conrad, could you please be a little more supportive?" their mom asked him, as she looked back at the rest of them "now, which one of is you gonna be Belly or Diana's escort to the ball?" she asked.

"Not me. I went last year." Conrad shared "yeah, and I swore off balls." Jeremiah shared, making Steven laugh "the dances, dude." Jeremiah told him "wow, seeing as everyone's always so protective of me. I thought these boys would be fighting for over who got to take me but I seem to have been mistaken. So I will just find my own date then." Diana shared "me too." Belly added on "wikipedia says debutante balls require instruction in morals and social etiquette." their mom shared "I'm going for a swim." Conrad told them, as he headed out the back door, Diana noticed Belly watch him, as she chuckled.

"They could use some etiquette. Yeah." Steven shared, as Diana turned to him with furrowed brows "screw you!" she voiced "case in point!" Steven voiced, motioning to her, Diana gave him the middle finger "no offense, Beck, but I don't feel like a country club is the best place to teach Belly and Diana about morals." their mom shared "Laur, times have changed. There's a girl debbing this season, and she's bringing her girlfriend as an escort and the club was fine with it." Susannah shared "how progressive of them." their mom shared, as Jeremiah walked over to them, putting two plates of eggs in front of them "here you are, belly button and princess." he told them.
