020. GOING FOR A NIGHT SWIM

Chapter twenty

"Going for a night swim."

Having put on music to help them clean, Diana had picked the midnight memories album by one direction, as the two started off throwing away all the empty bags off food, containers that were empty or one's that been opened and looked to be double dipped in,

"Maybe it's the way she walked (wow)

Where Diana grimaced as she picked up the weird food creation, which seemed more like something her, Jeremiah, Steven and Conrad used to make when they were kids goofing around in the kitchen, as she stuck it in Jeremiah's face, he flinched, making her laugh, as Jeremiah then flung something at her, Diana screamed, jumping away from it, as Jeremiah laughed.

"I said, "can you give it back to me?"

We knew every line, now I can't remember

Then they put anything that was salvageable back into the cabinets where when they were done with that, they got out of the cleaning supplies, where Jeremiah began cleaning off the counter, while Diana was washing the dishes that were in the sink, the two began to sing along.

And her daddy was a dentist
Said I had a dirty mouth (I got a dirty mouth)

Jeremiah then stepped toward's Diana and sang.

"I said, "can I take you home with me?"

And when he did, Diana smirked and looked at him and sang.

The two then began dancing.

Then Jeremiah and Diana then slid down the hallway into the kitchen, wearing sunglasses and holding mops in their hands like they were microphones, as Jeremiah started singing

Diana then brought her fist up and sang

The two then began dancing, as they started mopping the floor.

The two then stopped, standing back to back, story of my life started playing but as it did, Conrad had walked into the room, grabbing her phone he stopped the music as he looked at them with furrowed brows "what are you two doing?" he asked, as Diana and Jeremiah flipped up their sunglasses "dancing." Jeremiah told him "and cleaning. Our mom's got stoned to where your mom painted Jeremiah while me and Belly's mom tried to play with our like we were kids again. And then we called them old and then they called us brats and headed for a walk on the beach." Diana shared.

As Conrad's phone buzzed, he put Diana's down and pulled his own out "who's blowing up your phone?" Jeremiah asked him "Nicole. She wants me to go to Yarmouth music fest next weekend." Conrad shared "you gonna go?" Jeremiah asked him "yeah. Why not?" Conrad asked, as Diana chuckled "cause we had to all practically yell at you when you said you didn't wanna come to Harry Styles to make you go." she shared, as she turned walking off to go put the mop away, Jeremiah followed her.

That night, Diana had put her bathing suit on, as she put her hair up in a bun, she walked out of her room, and as she did, she headed down the hall, opening Belly's door, she saw her still in there, as she quietly closed it, she turned heading downstairs, and out to the pool, diving in, and as she swam to the bottom, she heard a splash above her, Jeremiah soon swam over to her as she smiled, Jeremiah smiled back at her.

As Diana then swam back up to the surface, Jeremiah followed her, as the two came up, catching their breath, they looked at each other "I told you I'd swim with you later." Diana shared, as her and Jeremiah chuckled "I know i'm the one who dumped those slushees on those girls heads but I didn't exactly thank you for defending me." Diana shared "I meant it when I said I'd do anything for you. But you know that cause you're my best friend.." Jeremiah shared, as Diana smiled "and every girl in the entire town of cousins is jealous about it yet their gonna have to deal with the fact that your my destiny, Jeremiah Fisher." she shared.

And as she did, Jeremiah smiled at her, knowing his mom had said the same thing to him earlier and the fact that she just said that solidified it for him, as he swam closer to her, putting his arms around her, he pulled her close to him "it's always been you." he told her, leaning in and kissing her, Diana kissed him back, wrapping her legs around his waist, Jeremiah picked her up, holding her against him, the two began making out.
