019. OUR MOM'S ARE TOTALLY STONED RIGHT NOW

Chapter nineteen

"Our mom's our totally stoned right now." 

Having made it back home, the moment they walked through the door, Susannah told Jeremiah she wanted to paint his portrait as Hermes, which was why he now he was wearing a bathing suit and no shirt with a crown on his head laying on the side of the pool, as Diana sat next to him, Belly walked up to them "hey. What's with the crown?" Belly asked "my mom decided to paint me as Hermes, messenger of the gods." Jeremiah shared "cook. Diana's actually really into all that stuff." Belly shared, motioning to her "was. It was a middle school phase." Diana shared, as she saw Belly looking around "what's up?" she asked her.

"I thought maybe Conrad would be back by now." Belly shared, as Diana raised her brows "Conrad?" she asked "Diana.." Belly told her, looking to Jeremiah, Diana scoffed, waving him off "fine then where'd you go?" she asked, as Jeremiah sat up "when me and Cam left practice we had a picnic." Belly shared "aw, cute. How is Cam Cameron?" Jeremiah asked "I don't think we're gonna hang out anymore either." Belly shared "well, join the club." Diana shared, holding her arms out to her, Belly stepped toward's her, hugging her.

Diana then took a deep breath "but you should also probably know that mom and Susannah are totally stoned right now." she shared "no way!" Belly voiced, pulling away "yeah. We came back to have a snack and all of them are gone." Jeremiah shared "come on.." Diana told them, getting up from the pool, she walked toward's the house, as Belly and Jeremiah followed her, they opened the back door and walked in "Courtney did not kill Kurt." Susannah shared "oh, come on. Did you see that documentary? Everybody knew he wanted to divorce her and with him dead, she got all his music, everything." their mom shared.

"You know, Dave Grohl says he still can't listen to Nirvana, it's too painful." Susannah shared, as Diana, Belly and Jeremiah peaked at them from around the corner "I still can't feel anything." their mom shared as she hopped off the kitchen island, walking over to Susannah "I'm hungry. we should make lasagna!" Susannah voiced, as their mom gasped "I love lasagna." she said, as Susannah walked up to the fridge, opening it "shoot! I need to go shopping. Mm." she shared, closing the fridge, she then went walking back to Laurel with another bag of chips and they began eating them with the jelly.

"Holy cow." Belly shared "we told you." Jeremiah told her "yeah, but they weren't like this when we first came back." Diana shared, as the two then noticed them "our beautiful babies." their mom shared "oh, look at them! Mmm." Susannah said, as the three walked out from behind the wall "ooh, they're so cute!" Susannah voiced, pointing at Jeremiah "mm, you come with me." she told him, pointing outside "I got to get you while the lights still good." she shared "okay, well, let's do that." Jeremiah shared, smiling hard, as Susannah walked up to him, patting him on the face.

"Have fun!" Diana voiced as she watched Jeremiah walk out after Susannah, Belly laughed, as the two then turned back to their mom who eating still, as the two walked in "oh, what have you guys been doing?" Belly asked "oh, just talking, snacking." their mom shared, throwing down the bag in her hand "hey, what do you two think of this text?" she asked, pulling out her phone, she flipped it to them, where Diana and Belly looked at it, it said, when can I see you again?

"Oh, my god, the guy you hooked up with last night was Cleveland Castillo?" Belly asked, as Diana's eyes went wide "wait, you hooked up with someone?" she asked their mom "it wasn't planned. One thing led to another, and we ended up having sex in his car." their mom shared "oh my god!" Diana voiced, as Belly brought her hands up to her ears "la, la, la, la! I am not listening." she shared "I think it's too late for that." Diana shared, looking at their mom with wide eyes "what did I say?" their mom asked, as Diana and Belly turned and looked at each other.

Their mom then put her phone back in her pocket and as she did, she stepped towards Diana, putting her hands through her hair which she had down rather then up, in which Belly's eyes went wide "can I play with your hair? Like old times before you used to be able to do it yourself?" their mom asked, as Belly grabbed Diana's hand, she began dragging them off, toward's the back door "no, no come back! Belly I can braid you hair!" their mom voiced, as Belly opened the back door.

Her and Diana saw Jeremiah and Susannah "Jeremiah, please save us! Our mom is asking how to reply to a guys text who she hooked up with and seems to want to go into extreme detail!" Diana voiced "and wants to play with our hair!" Belly voiced, as Susannah and Jeremiah laughed "Diana! Belly!" their mom voiced, as Diana and Belly turned back inside.

"Oh, you're such a good friend to Belly. Like a brother. But Diana? Diana's your destiny." his mom shared, as Jeremiah smiled "yeah she is. But enough, with the commentary, mom." Jeremiah shared standing up "let's see the art." he shared, walking around to the painting, looking at it his eyes went wide "what do you think? I think it's me best work." his mom shared, as Jeremiah turned back to the patio door "Diana!" he yelled, looking back to the artwork.

Diana came running out as Belly followed her, the two then stopped on either side of him, looking at the painting, their eyes went wide, as their mom walked up behind them "ah, it's um.." Belly shared "very..very blue." Diana shared "mm-hmm." Jeremiah said "Picasso and Jackson Pollock had a baby." their mom shared, laughing, as Diana, Jeremiah and Belly all looked to her.

"What?" Susannah asked as she stood up, walking around, she sat down on the chair and looked at it, where you couldn't even tell that was Jeremiah, as Susannah started laughing "oh, my god, it's terrible!" she voiced, as all of them started laughing "it's so bad!" Susannah voiced "see, this is why old people should not do drugs." Jeremiah shared, as their mom and Susannah turned and hit him "how dare you! Outraged!" Susannah voiced, hitting him multiple times "such.." their mom shared, as her and Susannah started laughing again "such blatant ageism." their mom shared.

As Susannah took off her smock "let's leave these brats." she told them, throwing her smock on the painting as she stood up "and go walk on the beach." she shared, linking her arm with Laurel, the two walked into the house "just don't go into the ocean! Conrad always said not to by yourself but I'm pretty intoxicated would be another rule!" Diana voiced, laughing "have fun, mom!" Jeremiah voiced "bye, brats." their mom told them "wow." Belly said, as Jeremiah hummed.

Diana turned back to them "I definitely think she's gonna have to paint you again, Hermes." she shared "oh, really?" Jeremiah asked her, going to put his arms around her waist, Diana laughed, moving away from him "no, no, Jere!" she voiced, as Jeremiah lunged toward's her, Diana squealed as she turned running toward's the house, Jeremiah chased after her, as the two headed inside "someone needs to clean this up!" Diana voiced, as she ran into the kitchen "after you come swim with me!" Jeremiah voiced, trying to grab her "if you let me clean the kitchen I promise I will swim with you later!" Diana voiced, as Jeremiah grabbed her, Diana laughed "fine. Fine. We'll swim later." Jeremiah told her, leaning down and kissing her on the cheek.
