She hasn't said anything. Not to me or her family. Only to the girls. I don't want to pressure her into telling me, but I'm starting to worry.

This is A we're talking about. I'm involved with A. So why can't she tell me?

Right now, we're in her room next to the window. All she does is stare outside.

"Are you okay?" I asked grabbing her hand.

She nods.

"Emily, you have to talk to me. You don't need to say what happened, but I need you to say something to me."

Silence.

"Well, I gotta go. See you tomorrow," I said standing then kissed her head.

I walked out and towards my car ready to go home. When I got in I slammed my hands on the wheel.

Doesn't she trust me? Why can't she say one word to me?

When I get home, I see Jason on the steps and sit next to him.

"Hey," I said.

"Hey. How's Emily?"

"Wouldn't know. She still hasn't said a word to me."

"She just needs some time," he said as we got up and went inside.

"I know. Did you eat?"

"No, wanna order pizza?"

"Sure. Um, I'll go get plates. Is dad coming or mom?"

"They went outta town and said they'll be gone for a couple of days," he said helping me set the table.

"Great. Daughter gets back and they leave."

"I'm glad you're back. And safe," Jason said hugging me.

"Me too. I wish none of it ever happened," I responded hugging back.

"We all do."

After that we spent the night talking and laughing, and we eventually fell asleep on the couch together.

Home sweet home.
