Ezra POV

Ever since I saw saw Aria Montgomery at my apartment building, I haven't been able to get her outta my mind. It's like she has some kind of hold on me or something.

It's wrong for a teacher and a student to date, but I really needed to know her. Get her to know me.

Maybe if I spoke to her after class we could try... No! I can't do this. I could go to jail.

As I drove into school, I noticed her there. Aria was sitting on the steps at the school, but why? It wasn't because of me... was it?

"Ah, Miss Montgomery. How are you this morning?" I asked going up the steps with her by my side.

"I'm good and you?" she asked in that beautiful voice of hers.

"Same as well. What can I help you with this morning?"

"Can I ask you something?" she asked as we reached my classroom closing the door behind us.

"Yes. Don't worry I won't say a word."

"Uh, I know- Can I have the date to the essay?" she asked changing her question.

"Yes, it's due next Friday. As soon as you walk in the door."

"Thank you. Sorry if I wasted your time," she said leaving.

After she left I saw a folded piece of paper on the floor. She must have dropped it.

Putting it on my desk I notice that it's addressed to me. Maybe she was going to throw it away.

When she gets in my class today, I will give it to her. She most likely doesn't want me to read it.

The day goes by slowly and Aria wasn't in her first period class. In fact I didn't see her anywhere.

As school ended she ran in here, closing the door, and leaned against it panting.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry Mr. Fitz. I didn't mean to run in here like that," she said once she caught her breath.

"It's fine Aria. You dropped this paper here on your way out this morning," I said handing it to her.

"Thank you. Did you read it?"

"No."

"Thank God. I mean. I-I mean. I'll just shut up now."

"Why did you miss class today?"

It was silent for many moments while she was trying to come up with an answer.

"Well?"

"I wasn't in class because...."
