I needed to make up to Spencer. She was right. I am a jerk. I had many ideas how, but they never worked.

At school I tried to talk to her, but she ignored me. I tried again and again throughout the day, but she made up excuses or walked away without looking in my direction.

After school, I followed her to the grille and walked in a few minutes after her. Looking around, I noticed she was with some guy.

I quickly hid at a table on the other side of the restaurant watching them. Seeing them laugh made me sick. Spencer's happy which is good, but I wish she was happy with me.

After sitting there for hours, I see the two of them get up and head out. I follow them, but stay hidden. If Spencer saw me, she would hate me even more.

When I see the guy kiss her, I nearly punched the guy. After their little make out session, Spencer goes to her car and drives off.

After the strange guy left, I went home and stood in my driveway. I called Spencer and she declined it. I texted her and she ignored it.

I had enough of this and went to her house and knocked on the door. When no one answered, I knocked again and again, until someone answered.

As soon as Spencer opened the door, she tried to close it right away, but my foot stopped it.

"What do you want Toby?" she asked opening the door while blocking it with her body.

"Why are you so upset with me?" I asked putting my hands in my pockets.

"Your a liar and a coward and you need to stay away from me."

"Get over it. So you didn't know one thing about me? So what?"

"We were best friends! You weren't supposed to keep secrets from me but you did!"

"Were?! We are best friends! And don't tell me about keeping secrets."

"No, were! And don't you dare turn this around on me! Toby, I can't do this right now. I have to meet up with someone," she says walking past me with her purse wiping away tears.

"Who? The guy at the grille?" I question.

"How do you know about him?" she asks turning around.

"I followed you there. Nice make out session by the way. Was it fun?"

"I'm showing him around Rosewood and we went on a date. Why am I even having to explain my self to you? Goodbye, Toby," with that she got in her car and drove away.

I just stood there feeling like a jerk again. She doesn't deserve a friend like me. And she was right, like always. Spencer doesn't need to explain herself to me.

I walked back home and slammed the door to my room as I got there. Quickly I tried to figure out some ways to apologize.

As soon as it was dark, there was a knock at the front door. The person kept knocking, so I got up and answered it.

"Spencer? What are you doing here?" I asked looking at the tear stained girl standing in front of me.
