Once I got home from after the hospital, I was angry. So I trashed the place. Kicking and shoving everything in sight.
Once finished, I ran my hands through my hair hot tears running down my face. When they finished, I ran out of my house, to my car and drove.
I didn't stop until I was out of gas. Looking around, I see I'm on a trail in the forest and groan.
There's no signal for my phone, and I jump out of the car. Instead of looking for signal, I grab my extra tank of gas and fill up my truck.
Driving back to Rosewood, I get a call from Caleb saying I needed to meet everybody at Spencer's.
Reluctantly, I went and saw everybody freaking out. When Spencer saw me, she looked away, not able to look at me in the eyes.
They said Hanna was missing, but Spencer wouldn't say how. Everybody thought that maybe I could help her say what happened.
"Caleb, she can't even look at me. How the hell am I supposed to get her to talk?" I asked crossing my arms.
"Because she loves you."
"Caleb, I can't put her through it. Not again. I'm not doing it."
"I'll tell you," Spencer said walking up to us. "But hell, it wasn't pretty."
"Go on then," I said.
"We were just talking, she was trying to keep my mind off of all the crap that's been happening. That's when we heard a noise coming from the barn," she said. "She grabbed a flashlight and a knife and went out there. That's when people came in. They were coming for me, but I fought. Hanna came back in, hearing my screams. She fought with me."
"Then what?" Aria asked as we moved to the couch.
"They hurt me, and threw us into the furniture. I got knocked out, and when I woke up, Hanna was gone. It's all my fault," she whispered.
"Hey, Spence, look at me," I said. "None of this is your fault. And I promise we will get Hanna back."
