As I open my window, a soft breeze comes in and I rip my curtains off the wall and throw them out.
Piece by piece I throw my things out of my room. Either in the hall or on the front lawn.
I hear someone walking towards my room as I move my mattress towards the door.
"Hanna, what are you doing?" Caleb asked squeezing in my almost empty room.
"Just getting rid of a few things," I replied dropping my mattress on the ground.
"More like everything. Why are you doing this?"
"While I was down there, it was an exact replica of my room. Besides I want something new. Help me with my mattress?" I asked starting to push my mattress again.
"Hanna, stop," Caleb said grabbing my arm.
"No!" I said snapping. "I need this."
"No, you don't. Come on, stop."
"Caleb! If you won't help, then leave," I said dropping the mattress.
"Hanna-"
"No. You don't know what I went through. I need this," I said as a couple tears fell.
"Tell me what happened then," he said grabbing my hands. "I hate not being able to help you. We all do."
"Caleb, I need time to get used to being back here, and demanding to know what happened to me won't help. You'll be helping me by getting this mattress out of the house," I said shoving it out the door again.
"Fine," he said helping me.
We finished emptying my room a few minutes later and I sat on the floor with my back against the wall while Caleb got us some lemonade.
Scratching on the walls. It looks like there's blood everywhere. What the hell happened?
As I open the door I see darkness and lean against the wall for support. I see Emily on the floor and drop next to her body.
"Emily?" I asked shaking her. "Emily wake up! Wake up!"
I started to cry as a figure in a black hoodie came towards us.
"Get back! Leave her alone!" I screamed standing. "Go away!"
The person in the black hoodie dragged me into my room as Emily's body was being dragged by another person into her room.
"Emily! Emily!" I shouted as I was shoved into my room.
When they closed my door, I tried opening it but it wouldn't budge. I slammed my hands against it crying and screaming.
"Hanna?" Caleb asked snapping me out of that nightmare.
"Yeah?" I asked wiping a tear that had escaped.
"You okay?" He asked sitting next to me.
"Yeah, fine," I lied.
"Hanna-"
"Caleb, I'm fine. Promise," I said putting my head on his shoulder.
We sat in silence after that and it was comfortable. He wants answers-everyone does- but I won't give any.
No one deserves to hear what happened to us, no one deserves to be put through what we did.
Everything is different now, it always will be. No matter what anybody wants.
I soon fell asleep with my head on Caleb's lap and him playing with my hair.
"Spencer?" I asked walking out of the room.
"Hanna!" She exclaimed and we hugged immediately.
None of us got to ever see each other. It was always days or weeks before we could.
"Have you seen Emily?" I asked as we walked to where we were told.
"Yeah. Hanna she's fine," Spencer said linking our arms.
"Why would A do that to me? I thought she was dead," I said remembering what happened.
"Why would A do any of this?"
"Because A's crazy," I finished as we reached the door.
"Correct."
The second we opened the door we screamed at the sight we saw.
