Pretty Little Liars

Toby POV

At school, I was excited to study with Spencer. I mean, we only started to hang out this past summer, but we grew close.

I told Spencer that I had to take Jenna home, then I would meet her there. As I waited for Jenna at the car, I thought about telling Spencer about Cassidy.

"So, what are you doing after you drop me off, Toby? Are you taking Cassidy to the grille? I think you should," Jenna said as we pulled up to the house.

"Um, I was going to meet Spencer at the grille, so we could study," I responded getting out of the car, opening her door.

"Well, you need to hang out with somebody other than Spencer. She's not the only person in the world," she said before going in the house.

On the way to the grille, I decide to pick up Cassidy and introduce her to Spencer. I think that Spencer will like her.

After I pick Cassidy up, we ride to the grille in comfortable silence. When we arrive, I look for Spencer, but Cassidy kissed me while I was looking away.

A moment later, I heard the door open and close. When I turn around, it looks like Spencer running to her car.

"Hey, let's get dinner. I'll grab some take out and bring some to my friends house," I said when we sat down with our drinks.

"Maybe later. I think we should just have some you and me time," Cassidy said holding my hands.

We spent a few hours there, just talking. It was fun, but I wished I was studying with Spencer instead. I loved Cassidy, so much, but I needed to explain to Spencer what happened.

Eventually, I dropped Cassidy off at home and bought the Hastings Chinese food. I knew it would be a long shot, for Spencer to listen to me. When I got there I was really nervous.

After a few minutes, Spencer came down from her room and her family left. It was awkward, but she grabbed some food and headed towards her room. I grabbed her wrist and turned her around.

While we were talking, I saw she was going to cry and I couldn't watch it. A few minutes later she put her food down and ran upstairs. I just left and went home. I broke her heart and it killed me.
