At school, I went looking for Caleb. We needed to talk about that kiss. Maybe it was a sympathy kiss, maybe it wasn't. All I know is that I just need to talk to him and get it all sorted out.
Through out the day, I looked for him, but could never find him. Eventually I found Caleb after school with Lucas.
I hid behind a set of lockers and listened to what they were saying. It was probably a bad idea, but why would they be talking to each other you know?
"Thanks for helping me break up with Hanna. I'm glad she fell for my act," Lucas said. "By the way, the kiss. Extraordinary. I bet she thinks that it means something. Your help was worth the twenty bucks."
"Yeah yeah, whatever. Can I just get my money and go? I promised Hanna that I would be over at her house," Caleb responded.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Walking away from my hiding spot, I stormed past them with tears threatening to spill. Refusing to give them that satisfaction, I held them back and got into my car.
Just when I thought I could have a good day, but no the universe hates me! And I hate the universe.
Driving away, I went to the grille instead of going home. I got some coffee and hid in the back corner at a table.
Thinking the last couple of days through, I realized that I'm so stupid. I let to guys play me. I feel like I'm the dumbest person in the world.
Grabbing my phone, I called someone I never thought I would ever call again. I mean who would after what he did to my family.
"Hello? Hanna?" the man asked.
"Hey, dad."
"Are you okay?"
"Dad can you come to Rosewood, please? Just for a couple of days? I need to see you," I say.
"Of course. Tell your mom I'll be there tonight. Is everything alright?"
"Um, no not really. I mean everything is great at home, but I've just been having a really bad week."
"Okay, I'll leave soon. I love you Hanna."
"I love you to. Bye."
"Bye," he says before ending the call.
Forgiving my dad is the hardest thing I have ever done, but I'm glad I did. I really need him right now, so calling him wasn't a mistake.
Eventually I had to go home, so I did. But I wasn't surprised at who was sitting on the front steps waiting for me.
"Hanna, can we talk?" Caleb asks me.
"Actually I can't right now. I need to make dinner for my mom and dad. So, we'll talk another time."
"Look, I'm sorry, okay? I didn't want to hurt you."
I quickly got in, closed the door and locked it. I leaned against the door, unable to move. Being paralyzed by hurt isn't that much fun.
Heading towards the kitchen I decided to make dinner for my parents. Soon my mom came home.
"Mom, dads coming for a couple of days," I said while stirring the noodles.
"Okay. Why? And is that why you're making dinner?" she asked confused.
"Yes and because I asked him to. I know you're probably upset, but I just really need him here at the moment."
"Okay, but you're making dinner for every night that he's here."
"Okay, deal," I say laughing.
As I was about to set the table, my phone goes off and I don't want to look at it. But I have to.

When I finish setting the table, someone knocks on the door. Going to go get it, I thought it was my dad. I was wrong.
"Sean, what are you doing here?" I ask seeing his sad expression.
"Hanna, it's your dad. He's in the hospital."
