This One Shot takes place at some point between Chapter 91 and chapter 92. Also it stays within Pearl's POV throughout! :)

A short burst of cold air, flooded into my lungs as my chest rigidly constricted in on itself. My eyes darted around my surroundings as I desperately tried to take in the shadowy area. But all I could see, was a grey fog settling near the floor, and everything else was coated in nothing but darkness.

How did I get here? Where is everyone? Are they okay?

A feeling of unease washed over me, as I slowly glanced around. This time with full body movement, the blackness of the endless void that surrounded me, refused to dissipate. Carlisle had said that I was stronger now, that my senses had greatly improved. So why do I feel just as blind in this darkness, as I did in the forest when I was human?

Fast thumping in my chest, echoed in my ears. My heart was pounding, but, wasn't it supposed to be slower now? What is happening?

I tried to strain my ears to hear anything else, to try and get some sort of clue as to where I am. But no matter how hard I tried, there was nothing... Just the endless drumming of my own frantic heart beat.

I need to go home. Bree and the others must be worried.

With that thought in mind, I took a step forwards. I could feel the ground beneath my feet, and yet, the only thing I could tell for sure, was that it was cold. There was no texture, neither soft nor firm, it was... empty... Like I was walking on nothing.

My eyes drifted down towards my feet, hoping that I would be able to make out something within the darkness. My naked foot stared up at me and in comparison to my surroundings, my skin was like a lightbulb.

Why wasn't I wearing any shoes? Surely I wouldn't have left the house without them? I mean, I've got my purple hoodie on, as well as my grey cargo pants, that Alice calls an absolute atrocity to fashion. So where was the rest of my outfit? I don't remember leaving the house to shift. In fact, I don't remember leaving the house at all.

"Where the hell am I?" My shaky voice graced my ears for the first time since awakening in this place. I could feel the panic starting to rise within me, although I desperately tried to squash it, in favour of more logical thinking, that was far easier said than done.

As the speed of my breaths started to increase and the sound of my heartbeat grew even louder, the itch to run away from this place overcame me, and before I even knew what my body was doing, I was moving.

My bare feet pushed into the ground with each step I took, I could feel the force behind my steps, and I knew, that if this was dirt I was running in, clear foot prints would be getting left behind, regardless of whether the ground was wet or not. And that kind of power, would not be silent.

However, this ground wasn't dirt, it wasn't concrete and it wasn't wood. I don't know what the hell it is but in spite of the power I'm exerting, I'm not making a fucking sound as I run!

I've long since gained control of my gift, and I can say with 100% certainty, that it is not active. What the fuck is the place?!

Rapidly turning my head from side to side, I desperately tried to make out anything within the darkness, a landscape, a river, a mere tree would do! Just something! Anything but this endless void!

Blood rushed through my body as my heart pumped at triple its normal speed, even with the adrenaline coursing through my veins, I couldn't see anything aside from the grey fog, layered slightly above the ground.

My chest started heaving as my lungs desperately tried to draw in oxygen, everything felt heavier, like I was tired. I can't tell how far I've run, but there's no way I reached my limit? I don't even know my limit since my two sides merged together?!

Short bursts of air forced their way down my throat as my chest gasped, the harshness of it all was too much to remain balanced. Crashing into the foggy covered floor my hands darted out to catch myself as my knees buckled. I stood on all fours as my head bobbed up and down in rhythm with my panting.
